Exciting Lineup of Activities with the Peoria Library System NOVEMBER IS GOING TO BE A BUSY AND EXCITING MONTH AT THE PEORIA LIBRARIES. They have organized a range of events catering to all age groups from preschoolers to adults. Check out a sampling of events happening this month. CRAZY TIMES WITH MADAME PATCHOULI Date & Time: Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30, 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Where: Sunrise Mountain Library, 21109 N. 98th Ave., Peoria What: Enjoy songs, stories, and crafts with the eccentric and much loved Madame Patchouli. LEGO CLUB Date & Time: Nov. 3 & 17, 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Where: Peoria Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe St., Peoria What: Kick off the weekend with LEGOs! Let your imagination run wild, or complete a challenging build. LEGOs will be provided by the library. Since not everyone thrives in loud, high-energy environments, an adapted room will be available in tandem to provide an inviting space for children with autism spectrum disorder and other sensory needs. PAPAHUGS CHILDREN’S MUSIC PROGRAM Date & Time: Nov. 4, 11 a.m. Where: Sunrise Mountain Library, 21109 N. 98th Ave., Peoria Date & Time: Nov. 4, 3 p.m. Where: Peoria Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe St., Peoria What: Join AARP’s Smart DriverTEK 90-minute workshop to learn all about the latest high-tech safety features in your current car, or what technology to look for when shopping for a new car. Learn about the safety benefits of blind spot warning systems, forward collision warnings and more.

ANIME CLUB Date & Time: Nov. 15, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Where: Peoria Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe St., Peoria What: If you’re a fan of anime/manga like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, or My Hero Academia come watch anime, discuss manga, and even try authentic Japanese snacks at the Peoria Public Library! For ages 12 through 17.

MONDAY NIGHT MELODIES Date & Time: Nov. 27, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Where: Peoria Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe St., Peoria What: In the mood for foot-tapping music? Monday Night Melodies, a free concert featuring two sets, is for you! A variety of music, from country and bluegrass to folk, oldies, and ethnic will entertain you.

STORYTIME AT STORYWALK Date & Time: Nov. 16, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Where: Pioneer Community Park, 8755 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria What: Celebrate National StoryWalk Week with a special Storytime at StoryWalk. Join the Peoria Main Library as they take Family Storytime outside to Pioneer Community Park. Meet at the ramada by Pioneer Lake (On 81st Ave. just South of Olive Ave.) Enjoy songs, a fun craft, and reading a couple stories from StoryWalk Contest winners along the StoryWalk at Pioneer Park.

SPECIAL TEDDY BEAR STORYTIME WITH MEGA RAN Date & Time: Nov. 29, 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Where: Peoria Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe St., Peoria What: Join Mega Ran, a local Phoenixbased rapper with a newly released children’s album “Buddy’s Magic Toy Box,” as he guest stars as a reader and rapper at Peoria Main Library’s regularly scheduled Teddy Bear Storytime with Mr. Zac.
