Southbound Loop 101 On-Ramp at Cactus Closure

THE SOUTHBOUND LOOP 101 (PIMA FREEWAY) ON-RAMP AT FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT BOULEVARD CLOSED MONDAY, AUG. 19, AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED FOR APPROXIMATELY 60 DAYS. According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the ramp will be reconstructed as part of the ongoing freeway widening project in north Scottsdale.

Drivers who normally would use the ramp should plan on using an alternate route, including entering southbound Loop 101 via the on-ramp at Shea Boulevard.

ADOT asks Loop 101 drivers in the area to allow extra travel time, slow down and to continue to provide room for traffic entering the freeway while crews work on the widening project.

The $108 million Pima Freeway Improvement Project between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive/Pima Road started in January.

Over the course of the two-year Loop 101 project, on- and off-ramps between Shea Boulevard and Pima Road/Princess Drive are being reconstructed to fit with the wider freeway. The entire project is scheduled for completion in early 2026.

ADOT is adding one lane in each direction along 4.5 miles of the Pima Freeway north of Shea Boulevard. Other improvements include converting the Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard interchange to a diamond configuration and installing new signs, traffic signals and lighting.

The Loop 101 widening project is funded in part by Proposition 400, a dedicated half-cent sales tax approved by Maricopa County voters in 2004. The project is scheduled under the Regional Transportation Plan managed by the Maricopa Association of Governments, which serves as the metropolitan planning organization for the Greater Phoenix region.

Real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler Information site at az511. gov, the az511 app (download for Apple or Android devices) or by calling 511.

Warning to Arizonans of Cryptocurrency Scams

ATTORNEY GENERAL KRIS MAYES IS AGAIN WARNING ARIZONANS TO BE ON HIGH ALERT FOR CRYPTOCURRENCY SCAMS TARGETING VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS, PARTICULARLY SENIOR CITIZENS.

"Scammers are taking advantage of the lack of familiarity on how cryptocurrency works to scam Arizonans out of their hard-earned money,” said Attorney General Mayes. “My office is committed to ensuring that all Arizonans are informed and protected against these emerging threats. I urge Arizonans to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to our office immediately."

Scammers are always finding new ways to steal your money using cryptocurrency. Some common scams to watch out for:

INVESTMENT SCAMS:

Scammers may contact you out of the blue on social media pretending to be an investment manager. The scammer may also pose as a love interest on a dating app who wants to help you invest your money. These scammers will promise a high-rate of return with “zero-risk” as long as you buy cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin and transfer it to the scammer’s account.

BUSINESS, GOVERNMENT OR JOB IMPERSONATOR SCAMS:

In a business, government, or job impersonator scam, the scammer pretends to be someone you trust to convince you to send them money by buying and sending cryptocurrency. They may claim to have seen fraud on your accounts and that your money is at risk and to fix it you’ll need to buy cryptocurrency and send it to them. They might also say there’s a legal problem, that you owe money, or your accounts or benefits are frozen as part of an investigation. They tell you to solve the problem or protect your money by buying cryptocurrency. These are red flags that indicate a scam.

BLACKMAIL SCAMS:

Scammers might send emails or U.S. mail to your home saying they

have embarrassing or compromising photos, videos, or personal information about you. Then, they threaten to make it public unless you pay them in cryptocurrency. Don’t do it. This is blackmail and a criminal extortion attempt. Report it to law enforcement immediately.

TIPS TO AVOID FALLING VICTIM TO SCAMS:

Verify Information: Before taking any actions, hang up, and independently verify the legitimacy of the caller by directly contacting the organization they claim to represent. Never use the contact details they provide — call whoever they claim to represent directly. Scammers can mask numbers making it appear that a legitimate company or organization is calling you.

Be Skeptical: Always be skeptical of unsolicited calls, especially those asking for immediate action involving financial transactions. A government agency will never ask you to remove money from your accounts to send via bitcoin, wire transfer or gift cards.

Only Scammers Demand Payment in Cryptocurrency: No legitimate business is going to demand you send cryptocurrency in advance – not to

buy something, and not to protect your money. That’s always a scam.

Secure Your Personal Information: Never share personal information like your social security number, bank account details, or passwords over the phone with unknown callers or give anyone real-time access to your computer. Never click on a link from an unexpected text, email, or social media message, even if it seems to come from a company you know.

Consult Trusted Individuals: Always consult with a trusted family member or friend before making any substantial financial decisions, especially those involving digital currencies like bitcoin.

Report Suspicious Activity: If something feels off, it probably is. Report the call to local law enforcement and file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

If you believe you or someone you know has been the victim of fraud file a consumer complaint by visiting azag. gov/consumer. If you believe you have been the victim of identity theft, get help from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) by visiting identitytheft.gov or by calling 877-438-4338.

Kitchen Switchen Revolutionizes Buying & Selling Cookware with an Emphasis on Sustainability

KITCHEN SWITCHEN, A NEW ONLINE MARKETPLACE WHERE CULINARY AFICIONADOS AND DIGITAL CREATORS CAN ETHICALLY BUY AND SELL KITCHENWARE PLUS CONTRIBUTE TO A VIBRANT ‘CONSCIOUS CULINARY COMMUNITY’ TO SHARE RECIPES, COOKBOOKS, MEAL PLANS, HOMEMAKING CLASSES AND MORE, HAS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED.

Kitchen Switchen is on a mission to revolutionize the kitchen game by breaking down social and economic boundaries, educating buyers on sustainability, encouraging bakers to bake and cooks to cook. This innovative new digital harbor aims to “stir the pot and break the mold”.

It all started when a spirited Phoenix mom and owner of a cozy kitchen store, Christa, decided to go on to new adventures and passed her proverbial spatula to Amy Powers and her two daughters, Brittney and Emma Valentine. Knowing they had the opportunity to give Christa’s legacy a digital makeover, the dynamic trio converted Kitchen Switchen into a bustling online hub for those looking to sell or buy cookware, create their own community –encouraging people to learn how to make the most of their culinary journey, no matter what resources they have. From Le Creuset to Our Place, Kitchen Switchen’s online marketplace offers a variety of pre-owned cooking and baking brands. Additionally, shoppers will have the choice to buy new items from major name brands.

“In today's technological age, there are numerous ways to obtain food, but many of these options divert people from their kitchens and the joy of creating nutritious, memorable meals,” said Amy Powers, Kitchen Switchen CEO. “At Kitchen Switchen, our mission is to inspire a return to home cooking by providing the right tools. Instead of settling for cookware containing non-degradable chemicals that harm the environment and health, users can explore our extensive collection of high-quality, eco-friendly kitchenware.”

The backbone of Kitchen Switchen is its reseller marketplace, where cooking enthusiasts can join for free, sell their kitchenware and expertise for a low commission, and have access to a live customer service team

during business hours. Resellers can list:

• Cookware

• Bakeware

• Coffee & Tea Products

• Housewares

• Cutlery

• Tabletop & Bar Products

• Tools & Gadgets

• Cookbooks

• Classes

• And so much more

One of Kitchen Switchen’s primary goals is sustainability. Annually, more than 100 million pots and pans are discarded globally, many composed of materials that accumulate in landfills, that contaminate soil and water sources, with visible impact here and around the world. The platform’s goal is to give gently used kitchenware a second life so that it doesn’t end up in a landfill. The site’s products prioritize sustainable, recycled and non-toxic materials. The goal is to reduce the planet’s carbon footprint and shift how people consume and dispose of kitchen equipment.

“At Kitchen Switchen, we are pioneering a new era of kitchenware responsibly exchanged reselling, focusing on sustainability, eco-friendliness, and healthy lifestyles,” said Brittney Valentine. “Our marketplace is dedicated to fostering a fully conscious culinary community that values both the planet and personal well-being, one pot and pan at a time.”

Kitchen Switchen’s blog is full of a plethora of resources including exciting recipe ideas, reseller tips, and information about nontoxic cooking. Its ‘Kitchen Kids’ section allows parents to buy and sell items like back-toschool lunch boxes, storage containers, thermoses and soon will offer resources, such as classes, to help children get excited about learning in the kitchen. Upcoming launches on the platform include an online “pharmacy” with medicinal herbs, household cleaners, and nutraceuticals.

Mission Microchip

MARICOPA COUNTY ANIMAL CARE & CONTROL (MCACC) IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE ITS MISSION MICROCHIP EVENT TO OFFER FREE MICROCHIPPING SERVICES THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR TO HELP KEEP PETS SAFE AND IN THEIR HOMES.

Studies show that more than five million animals enter shelters nationwide each year. Of those shelter animals, forty to sixty percent are lost pets. The unfortunate reality is that one in three pets will go missing at some point, sometimes at no fault of the owner. Even the most well-behaved dogs can get lost or run off

unexpectedly. Microchipping dogs not only greatly increases the chances of reuniting these lost dogs with their owners, but it may also help reduce the crowding problem shelters are facing all over the US.

“After seeing how successful our Care on the Go events were, and how much services like microchips are needed, we knew this would be a great opportunity for our community,” said Communications Supervisor, Kim Powell. “The goal of the mission is to have all Maricopa County dogs microchipped, so they can easily be returned to their owners should they get lost or be separated.”

While MCACC already microchips every dog it adopts out, this event will give Maricopa County residents who may not have adopted their dog from one of its shelters the opportunity to receive free microchipping services for their beloved dog.

There is a limit of two pets per person, with a separate appointment required for each pet. These services are offered by appointment only, with available time slots open two weeks in advance. To schedule, visit maricopa. gov/215/Rabies-Vaccinations-andMicrochipping.

ADOT seeks input on strategic plans to enhance highway safety

Please review draft proposals and comment by Friday, Sept. 6

The Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking public input on a proposed update to its Strategic Highway Safety Plan and a draft of the state’s first Active Transportation Safety Action Plan, which aims to reduce pedestrian and bicyclist fatalities where those activities intersect with the state highway system.

Both proposals are available for review at azdot.gov/ SafetyPlan. Comments are welcome through Friday, Sept. 6.

Federal regulations require each state to have a Strategic Highway Safety Plan for reducing fatalities and serious injuries on public roadways and to update that plan every five years. ADOT leads development of this plan in partnership with local, state, federal and other stakeholders so that all highway safety programs can leverage resources and work together effectively to enhance safety.

The proposed Strategic Highway Safety Plan update, developed after a series of public meetings earlier this year, focuses on the following emphasis areas that account for a large percentage of life-altering crashes in Arizona: human behavior; intersections; lane departure; vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists; and incidents on tribal lands.

ADOT and its partners propose dozens of strategies based on public and stakeholder input, data analysis,

and previously completed research and planning. These include:

• improving visibility of vulnerable road users, all other users and roadway features;

• incorporating vulnerable road users more prominently in the planning, design and programming process;

• reducing high-risk movements by drivers;

• conducting high-visibility enforcement at intersections; and

• promoting safety at crash scenes.

The proposed update is based on the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe System Approach, which looks at all factors affecting safety and emphasizes a shared responsibility for improving safety on roadways.

ADOT and its partners also are developing Arizona’s first Active Transportation Safety Action Plan to address a rise in pedestrian and bicyclist fatalities in Arizona, the vast majority of which occur on local roadways. This proposal recommends location-specific projects along the state highway system aimed at improving safety for pedestrians and bicyclists.

You also can provide input on both proposals through Friday, Sept. 6, in these ways:

• Complete an online survey at: azdot.gov/ SafetyPlanComments

• Email: ngbecerra@azdot.gov

• Call the bilingual phone line: 855.712.8530

• Mail: ADOT SHSP & ATSAP, 1655 W. Jackson St., MD 126F, Phoenix, AZ 85007

Football season is here, and SRP and Cardinals Charities are partnering for the sixth year on the Touchdowns for Teachers program. The program awards $500 grants to two teachers every time the Cardinals score a touchdown during the regular NFL season. Teachers can use the grants to purchase school supplies, books, equipment, or anything they need to support their classroom.

To date, the Touchdowns for Teachers program has provided more than $269,000 in grants to more than 538 teachers.

“Teachers play a crucial role in shaping our future, and initiatives like Touchdowns for Teachers are a fun and engaging way to support the work educators do for our students,” said SRP Community Engagement Manager Anita Tarango. “This program is just one of many ways SRP supports education

and workforce development in our community.”

In 2023, SRP invested more than $2 million in education. Alex and Marci Weisman along with John and Danielle Patriarca, Area Developers for KidStrong in Phoenix, are thrilled to be adding their third center to the area. “I initially saw KidStrong as a good way to support kids’ physical development, but it wasn't until we observed

the positive changes in our own children that my wife and I truly became true believers. Our daughter has shown massive improvement in emotional regulation, respectfulness, as well as athletic ability. We are so excited to share this with more parents!”, says Weisman.

KidStrong raises the bar for what kids' activities should look like. With a focus on social-emotional and physical development, it teaches kids everything from public speaking to shaking hands to how to do a pull-up, how to make friends and building each kid’s confidence. The science-based programming takes kids through ageappropriate, action-packed 45-minute weekly classes. The programming includes input from experts in pediatric occupational therapy, child development, sports physiology, physical education and more. It helps kids develop important life skills and boost their confidence, setting them up for a solid foundation that will serve them throughout their lives.

"The greatest gift we can give our kids is the person we help them become," says Matt Sharp, CEO and Founder of KidStrong. “I want to make it clear that KidStrong

isn’t just for the kids. KidStrong has a focus on parent education and support as well, which can change a family's life,” added Megin Sharp, Founder of KidStrong.

KidStrong is for ages walking through 11 years old. With locations currently open in North Scottsdale (31313 N. Scottsdale Rd.) and Gilbert (3133 S. Lindsay Rd.), KidStrong is excited to announce that they will be opening a Paradise Valley location in the near future, to be located at 4603 E. Cactus Rd. Kids' Corner Hot Temps, Cool Water JW Marriott AquaRidge WaterPark is a Great Valley Spot to Cool Off

While the calendar says September, the temperatures still say summer months here in the valley and one of the coolest spots to chill is the AquaRidge Waterpark at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort.

AquaRidge is filled with adventure and fun. There is a lazy river, multiple pool areas including the Wildfire Grove which has two pools and waterfall, Sedona Springs and the exclusive adults-only Sky Island. Sky Island is 21+ and there are perks such as a glass of champagne or sparkling water when you arrive to kick off the wonderful experience.

THE HAVASU PLAYGROUND, GREAT FOR KIDS AND ADULTS ALIKE, FEATURES THREE WATERSLIDES: Gullywasher: This is the only dual-person vertical wall tube slide at a resort west of the Mississippi. The Gullywasher brings together a traditional serpentine with a heartracing plunge that launches riders up a vertical wall for a show-stopping finish and jaw-dropping photos.

The Drop: This high-speed slide accelerates riders with twists and turns from top to bottom with a straight steep drop. Perfect for thrill-seekers!

Little Eddy: A beginner body slide for younger kids or adults with gentle slopes and tiny turns.

The best part of all is that you do not need to be a guest of the resort to enjoy what they have to offer. The AquaRidge WaterPark offers day passes to enjoy what there is to offer on property. One of the best things you can do during your visit is to indulge in a little bit of luxury by renting a cabana or a daybed. This is the true sense of relaxation and a great way to enjoy the pool without having to stay directly in the sun.

Hours of operation vary depending on the day and area of the AquaRidge WaterPark. Note: there are some height requirements with the waterslides so be sure to check those out before heading to the park.

AN EGGCEPTIONAL PHYSICS PARTY TRICK

Ready to learn an eggcellent party trick? Let’s get cracking with this fun physics challenge:

Do you think you can drop an egg into a glass of water without touching the egg or breaking it?

Don’t be chicken—it can be done! And, I’m not yolking around.

Here’s what you need:

• 1 tall drink glass

• Water (enough to almost fill the glass)

Directions:

1. Find a clear workspace free from breakables to set up this experiment—a cleared kitchen island or dining table are ideal.

2. Fill the glass about three-quarters full with water and set on workspace.

3. Set the pie pan on top of the glass in the same orientation as you would use to hold a pie.

4. Place toilet paper roll vertically (up-and-down) on top of pie pan, centered over the glass.

5. Balance an egg on its side on top of the toilet paper roll.

• 1 cardboard toilet paper tube

• 1 metal pie pan

• 1 egg

6. Hold your dominant hand about 8 inches from the side of the pie pan, with your palm facing the set up materials.

7. Quickly and forcefully smack the edge of the pie pan and pull your hand away. The pie pan will travel so be sure no one is standing in its way!

What’s Happening?

Make your observations first—what happened to the egg? When you use your hand to apply force to the pan, energy transfers to the pan, making it move. As the pan travels across the rim of the glass, the pan catches the edge of the toilet paper roll, pulling it out from under the egg. There is very little friction between the shell of the egg and the toilet paper roll, so the only force that really acts on the egg is gravity, causing the egg to fall straight down — safely into the glass of water. Now what? Consider, what would happen if you used a taller paper tube like

a paper towel roll? Try it to find out! Or, take the super egg challenge: Try using a cookie sheet or lunch tray instead of a pie pan and stack multiple glasses underneath. How many eggs can you get safely into their glasses at once?

Hello Neighbor!

HI, MY NAME IS… Kendra Kaplan

I’VE LIVED IN SCOTTSDALE FOR THE LAST 42 YEARS AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE … I hate being cold! As a native, the heat does not bother me. We have endless restaurants, great shopping, beautiful deserts…what’s not to love?

A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… multiple school drops-offs, running errands and maintaining a busy household with four kids, meeting with The Driver Provider clients and employees, picking up kids from school, getting everyone to/from their after-school activities, helping with homework, sitting down for family dinner and preparing for the next day.

MY FAMILY IS… busy! Our kids are 14, 12, 7 and 6. We’re running in a million directions, and it doesn’t always feel like we can keep up but we wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.

ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IS… my Outlook calendar. Seriously, I need it for my sanity!

MY FAVORITE MOVIE I COULD NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING AND WHY… “The Blind Side” because it is such a great reminder of all the goodness in this world.

WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… a nurse. I even got my nursing degree and license, but I never practiced.

THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT IS… “Loverman” by Train. It’s on our carpool playlist and we sing it at high volume with our kids.

THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… author Brené Brown. Her work on vulnerability and authenticity is inspiring.

THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… our two youngest sons playing make believe, completely lost in their own little world.

THE PERFECT DAY IS… a sunny day at the beach, of course!

MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… the Valley of the Sun JCC (Jewish Community Center). Between working out in the gym, playing pickleball, attending summer camps, joining the basketball league or just grabbing a cup of coffee, it feels like we are ALWAYS there. It is such an amazing part of our community.

MY LIFE IS… a gift. After surviving a massive stroke in 2022, I do not take a single day for granted.

THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… our youngest son, who was born happy and healthy after months of bedrest.

MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… returning to the coast of Barcelona, Spain.

THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED IS… to allow yourself to take risks and make mistakes. You can always change the course you’re on if you do not like the outcome.

FROM THE DESK OF THE MAYOR

DEAR SCOTTSDALE FAMILIES, Scottsdale thrives in the diverse Sonoran Desert, which stretches from the Gulf of Baja California, northward through Scottsdale and westward to the Colorado River. The indigenous and archeological history encompass thousands of years and still intrigues us today. The Hohokam people created a network of canals and cultivated this desert land while establishing villages, from around 300 BC to 1450 AD. Similarly, we must acclimate to the desert.

Joan Fudala, Scottsdale Historian and author, states in her book “Historic Scottsdale: A Life from the Land,” that the

River Hohokam people in and around what is present day Scottsdale diverted “…river water year-round through ditches and brush dams…living in villages of clustered brush structures and grew a variety of crops.” The lifestyle of the River Hohokam was different from the Upland Hohokam, who according to Ms. Fudala, lived at a “…site at the northern base of the McDowells.” It is believed that the Pima and Tohono O’odham are descendants of the Hohokam. The Yavapai people later lived in the area after the Hohokam. Today, we recognize the cultures of our friends at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation to the east and our kind neighbors at the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

In the 1500s, Spain claimed the lands that we call California and Mexico and much of the land around it. Mexico later declared its own independence from Spain in 1821 and 27 years later the area we know as the American southwest was ceded by Mexico to become U.S. territories.

In the early 1900s at the age of 18, Scottsdale’s most famous vaquero, known as Gerbacio “Harvey” Noriega, made his way from Sonora to work at DC Ranch. The young cowboy skillfully worked his way up the ranks at the busy ranch in north Scottsdale. Harvey liked his coffee black, took meds for his pains, smoked heavily and died at the age of 104. Harvey is the vaquero inspiration, some say, for the memorable “Welcome to Historic Old Town” sign on Scottsdale Road.

The rich Western legacy of Scottsdale art, culture, and Southwest heritage can be experienced at the Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, a Smithsonian affiliate. Also do not miss the Rodeo Museum in Old Town, which displays Harvey’s saddle and hat, and memorabilia of the historic Parada del Sol. We are the latest inhabitants of the Sonoran Desert which we love. Respecting the desert means understanding the rugged yet fragile ecosystem, learning from indigenous peoples about sustainable water and land policies, and living a harmonious future.

Of course, enjoying the outdoors – especially in times of extreme heat – requires common sense precautions for oneself and especially for our children and pets.

Until next time, let’s celebrate the rich Western Heritage of Scottsdale!

From Memories to New Beginnings: The Emotional Path of Downsizing

FACING THE DECISION TO DOWNSIZE

If you’re a senior in Scottsdale North, you might be facing the difficult decision to downsize. We understand that this isn’t just about moving to a smaller space—it’s a journey filled with memories, emotions, and big decisions. Whether it's leaving a home and community where you've built a lifetime of memories or parting with belongings that hold sentimental value, this process can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to go through it alone.

Our goal is to help you sell your home with less stress and maximize your profit. To support you, we’re hosting a downsizing seminar this fall. Join us for practical advice, support, and insights from others who’ve been in your shoes. We aim to equip you with the tools and confidence needed to navigate this change smoothly. At the Scott Gaertner Group, we don’t just help you move—we help you move forward, with heart.

THE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY OF LETTING GO

Packing up a lifetime of belongings can feel like packing up your life. Each item holds a story, making it tough to decide what to keep. But downsizing isn’t about losing your past; it’s about taking the joy and memories with you while freeing yourself from excess.

BALANCING MEMORIES WITH NEW BEGINNINGS

Downsizing is both a physical and emotional move, like walking through a personal museum of memories. The challenge is balancing what to keep while making room for new experiences. Pass down cherished heirlooms or digitize photos to preserve memories without clutter. The goal is to keep what matters most while embracing the freedom that comes with simplifying your life.

MAKING PRACTICAL CHOICES FOR A NEW SPACE

As you prepare to downsize, reality sets in. Your new home might not fit everything you’ve accumulated over the years. Prioritize what brings comfort and joy and adapt to your new lifestyle. The dining table that hosted countless Thanksgiving dinners might need to be replaced with something more fitting for your new

lifestyle. The key is to make thoughtful decisions that allow you to maintain comfort and warmth in your new space while adapting to the realities of downsizing.

Here’s how to approach it: Start by taking measurements of your new home and get realistic about what will fit. Prioritize the pieces that bring you the most comfort and joy, and be willing to let go of the rest. Remember, downsizing doesn’t mean giving up what’s important—it means making room for new memories in a space that suits your current lifestyle.

EASING THE STRESS OF DOWNSIZING

Downsizing can be mentally and physically exhausting. The sorting, packing, and decision-making can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re faced with the emotional weight of letting go of items that have been part of your life for decades. But it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Take it one step at a time, and focus on the benefits—like less maintenance, lower costs, and more time for the things you love.

Don’t hesitate to seek help from professionals who can guide you through the process.

JOIN US FOR SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE

If you’re feeling the weight of these decisions, we’re here to help. This fall, we’re hosting a downsizing seminar specifically for seniors in our community. It’s a chance to get practical advice and emotional support. You’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence you need to make informed decisions about your next steps.

HEAR FROM OUR CLIENTS

Our clients’ experiences speak volumes. Here’s what some have said:

“Simply, it was emotional for me and not something I particularly wanted to deal with. Nevertheless, Scott and his staff were understanding of my various issues and made the process smooth.”

“We cannot express enough how grateful we are for Scott and his incredible team. From October 2023 to May 2024, they were our rock. Their friendship and professionalism meant the world to us.”

“When my husband died unexpectedly, I was extremely stressed out about having to sell my home myself. Scott and his team took over and made the entire process painless and easy.”

“I was battling an illness in another state and Scott’s team did everything possible to make my life easier. I felt that Scott’s team became my team trying to help me reach all of my goals.”

“...Dad is now settled into an independent living community where he shares with other residents about his fabulously positive experience with The Scott Gaertner Group!”

Curious about how we’ve helped others? Visit DownsizingWithScott.com for these stories and more from clients who’ve been through this journey with us. To join our seminar this fall see the back page of this paper.

Cover Story THE BENTLEY SCOTTSDALE Polo Championships,

Presented by Gila River Resorts & Casinos

INTRODUCES NEW THRILLS AND BIG NAMES.

The 2024 Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships, presented by Gila River Resorts & Casinos, is setting the stage for an unforgettable event on Oct. 26, with its most ambitious lineup yet. Now in its 13th year, the nation’s premier polo event will not only feature its signature blend of high-octane polo matches, fashion shows, and luxury car displays but also introduce a series of exciting new elements. Among these, the much-anticipated addition of "Polo After Dark" promises to extend the day’s excitement well into the evening with night matches under the lights at WestWorld of Scottsdale, located at 16601 N. Pima Rd.

Event founder, owner, and producer Jason Rose highlights the various enhancements that attendees can look forward to this year. "We've always strived to intrigue and innovate," Rose says. "This year, in addition to the beloved daytime festivities—like the world’s 'Longest' Fashion Show by Phoenix Fashion Week, Canine Couture Dog Fashion Show, and performances by top polo teams— we’re introducing night polo, which is something truly unique in America. The combination of live music and polo under the stars will offer a completely new experience."

The new evening format is complemented by a partnership with Relentless Beats, a leading DJ concert producer in the Southwest, which will bring a dynamic sunset concert to the event. "We’re thrilled to partner with Relentless Beats," Rose continues. "The combination of live music and polo under the stars is something that hasn’t been done before, and we’re confident it will be a hit with our audience."

Beli Merdovic, general manager of title sponsor Bentley Scottsdale, emphasizes the event's commitment to maintaining its legacy of luxury and excitement. “Bentley Scottsdale and the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships represent a tradition of excellence and luxury. That tradition continues as this event brings new elements to thrill and entertain thousands of fans every year,” Merdovic says.

For actor Sterling Jones, who will be returning to captain the World Pride team, the event is a highlight of his year. Jones, known for his roles in "Barbie,"

"Grey’s Anatomy," and "NCIS," first played in last year’s Scottsdale Polo Party and quickly found the experience transformative. "Last year was my first year playing polo in Scottsdale, and I was blown away," Jones says. "It’s an honor to captain the Pride Team. Visibility and inclusivity are crucial, and I’m committed to advocating for change. Our goals are simple: peace, love, and equality."

Jones, who grew up on a horse ranch in Texas, was reintroduced to horses and the sport of polo through an encounter with Melissa Ganzi, one of the world’s top female polo players. "I met Melissa at a snow polo event in Aspen, and she saw that I had some riding experience," he recalls. "She invited me to try polo, and it quickly became a passion. Polo has significantly boosted my confidence, both on and off the field. This year, I’m especially excited to play under the lights—something I’ve never done before. It’s going to be an amazing experience."

Local polo player Diego Florez, a veteran of the Scottsdale Polo Championships, is also excited for the new elements being introduced this year. Florez, who has participated in the event since its inception, is eager to see how the night matches will unfold. "The evening aspect is going to add a whole new layer of complexity," Florez says. "Playing under the lights is more challenging because of the shadows and how the horses might react, but it’s also an exciting opportunity to see what we can do. We’ve played in the evening at other events, and it’s definitely different, but I think the horses will get used to it quickly."

Florez, who spent his summer playing polo across Europe, notes that the Scottsdale Polo Championships stand out for their diversity and scale. "This event is unique," he

says. "It’s not just about the polo; it’s about everything else happening around it. The fashion shows, the car displays, the Canine Couture dog fashion show—there’s something for everyone. And this year, with the addition of night polo, it’s going to be even more special."

In addition to the new night matches, this year’s event will feature teams from across the U.S., including firsttime participants from Nashville, Napa, and Sonoma. Defending champions from Aspen Valley, led by one of the best American polo players, Nic Roldan, will also return to compete.

Guests can enjoy the action from various VIP tents, each offering a distinct experience. From the refined elegance of the Prime Luxury Tent, featuring a catered lunch by Maple & Ash, to the energetic atmosphere of the Scottsdale Maserati Drivers & Players VIP Lounge, and the laid-back vibe of the Barrett-Jackson Champagne & Jazz Lounge, there’s a perfect spot for everyone to take in the day’s festivities.

Whether attendees join for the daytime action, the sunset matches, or the night polo, the 2024 Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships promise to be an unforgettable day of sport, style, and celebration. As Rose aptly puts it, "We’ve created something truly unique here in Scottsdale, and this year is shaping up to be our best yet."

Head injuries aren’t as benign as you thought

When I was 12, my younger brother Tim, and my twin brother Tom, went skateboarding on a hill near my house. That afternoon they came back and Tom was helping Tim because he had fallen and hit his forehead. My mom called the pediatrician, but since Tim had been able to walk, his advice was to watch and make sure to wake him every two hours to ensure he was ok. He said that if he started to vomit repeatedly to take him to the ER. What child can you awake out of a dead sleep and get cognoscente enough to assess mental status? That

night Tim ate three dinners - shortly after each, he forgot that he’d eaten and ate another. My parents were also trying to help him study for a math test. Flash cards that he practiced nearly every night were completely foreign to him. He did not remember anything. It seemed funny to us kids, but not so funny to my parents.

Today we know that these “innocent” head injuries are anything but. One moderate injury (i.e., symptoms occur later that day and may include nausea, vomiting, confusion, memory loss or headaches) doubles your risk of dementia. Studies have also found that repetitive small head injuries like “getting your bell rung” while playing sports can result in a much higher risk of dementia or Parkinson’s disease. Symptoms can include severe anger, suicidal depression, chronic insomnia and many others of which are not typically brought to the public’s attention yet can ruin your quality of life. Two or more severe injuries may lead to deficits in communication, executive functioning, anxiety, depression, insomnia and fatigue. Long-term symptoms include difficulty finding words, comprehension deficits, insomnia, anger, anxiety, depression, impulsivity, poor decisions, balance issues, vision problems, headaches and more.

What Makes MVP Medical Care so Unique?

MVP refers to YOU, our Most Valued Patient.

We o er highly focused personal care from a board-certified family practitioner with more than two decades of experience. Known as the Valley’s premier provider of integrative and functional medicine, Dr. Sosnowski has a strong reputation for investing inordinate amounts of time getting to know, diagnose and treat her patients.

FUNCTIONAL AND INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE

We work to locate the underlying causes of unwanted symptoms and disease, as opposed to just addressing symptoms.

Thankfully whether a recent or past injury, there is an easy and relatively quick way to assess the severity of the trauma and treat it. Magnetic eResonance Therapy (MeRT) introduces magnetic energy into the brain which helps the brain waves to work at the same speed. Treatments help you think clearer, process faster and keep your memory working better for longer. MeRT has been on the market for 13 years and has been helping the patients of MVP Medical Care for over four years. Dr. Sosnowski’s understanding of functional medicine allows her to ensure each patient is in the best physical place to benefit the most from their treatments.

Each new patient begins with an evaluation and an EEG. This shows the doctor where the brain is functioning normally and where it’s suffered damage. Next, a customized treatment protocol is created to improve the brain’s function which helps make everyday life easier while reducing the risk of dementia. Treatments five days a week for 15 minutes will repeat anywhere from two to eight weeks. Contact MVP Medical Care and schedule a free 15-minute discovery call with a staff member. All new clients who book their first appointment in September will receive a discounted price on MeRT treatments. Appointments are limited so call 480-588-7787 today.

Can Your Lifespan be Impacted by Hearing Loss?

Everyone loves the idea of a miracle cure that can help you live longer. In fact, a brief internet search will probably return thousands of such miracle remedies (if not more), each promising to help you have a longer life if you employ “one simple trick.” Of course, the vast majority of these supposed cures have no real medical foundation.

Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything to positively impact your longevity. For

example, eating a healthy diet or quitting smoking can substantially affect your expected lifespan.

Making use of hearing aids to manage hearing loss is also in this category and a multidisciplinary publication that focuses on healthy aging, called “The Lancet Healthy Longevity”, has recently released research that reinforces this. So, can hearing aids help you live longer? There’s a strong possibility that they will according to this study.

Researchers have been aware of the connection between overall wellness and hearing health for quite some time. The fact that neglected hearing loss can considerably raise your chances of experiencing cognitive decline is well founded, for instance.

These risks, however, are largely unknown by most people. They think that hearing loss will only influence one facet of their lives and is a mere nuisance. But the reality is that hearing loss is more than a simple annoyance, especially when neglected.

Usually, treatment for hearing loss involves using hearing aids as much as possible. So, does this mean that you can decrease your risk of early death by wearing hearing aids?

Rediscover the joys that you’ve missed.

We get it. Sometimes life goes speeding by so fast it seems like there’s hardly time to breathe. Little things get shoved to the side, until one day they become too big to ignore. That’s the way it is with hearing loss. Conversations get harder, particularly in crowded places. Your TV gets turned up louder and louder. And the sweet sounds of the natural world around you seem faded and more distant.

WE CAN HELP. At Platinum Hearing, we specialize in finding the perfect hearing solutions for people just like you.

According to the latest research, there is certainly a possibility. The study found that regular hearing aid use was linked to a 24% reduction in mortality risk. The participants in this study who used their hearing aids tended to live longer.

The research published in “The Lancet Healthy Longevity” is not exactly definitive proof that hearing aids will help you have a longer life (although the study does strongly indicate a relationship). However, it’s another piece of evidence to add onto what we already know about the advantages of hearing aids.

• Social situations can become significantly easier. This can limit the amount of social solitude you feel, improving your overall mental wellness

• You may also be more mindful of your surroundings. This can help prevent accidents, injuries, and mishaps.

• Cognition can be improved by using hearing aids. Over time, your brain will be healthier and less fatigued from struggling to hear.

• From enjoying caring moments with your grandchildren to taking part in a business dinner, everyday situations with friends, family, and colleagues will be simplified.

Why Your Back Still Hurts (And How to Finally Get Relief!)

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

You’ve seen everyone for low back pain and are still left without solutions. You’ve tried ice packs and heat compresses but the pain came back. Chiropractic care only offered temporary relief, your physical therapist put you on generic exercises, the pain management doctor did a nerve ablation and told you to stop being active, and the orthopedic surgeon determined that you weren’t a surgical candidate…

As someone who specializes in treating back pain, I hear these stories all the time. I know how frustrating it is to feel like you’re stuck at square one. The good news is you’ve ruled out the majority of causes for your low back pain, and it likely boils down to one of these three commonly missed issues:

LIGAMENT AND JOINT PROBLEMS

Ligaments stabilize your joints. When

they become worn or overstretched, low back pain can occur. One of the most commonly missed causes of low back pain is SI Joint Dysfunction, which is often mistaken for sciatica.

If you find yourself constantly adjusting your position when sitting or lying down, experience pain when moving from sitting to standing, or have back and groin pain, your SI ligament may be overstretched. On the other hand, pain that worsens with twisting, sidebending, or extension movements could indicate a joint issue like Lumbar Facet Arthropathy.

NERVE PROBLEMS

If your pain eases with rest but worsens with movement, a swollen or trapped nerve might be the issue. The cluneal nerves, which run along the glute and low back, can become entrapped, causing pain. Although pain medications are often prescribed, they don’t actually help to calm the nerve and stop the irritation pattern.

MUSCULAR PROBLEMS

The muscles along the spine play a crucial role in stabilization. Atrophy in these muscles can weaken them, causing the muscle to shrink. Over time, the shrunken muscle gets replaced by fat, which can lead to spinal instability and pain.

RELIEVE YOUR PAIN FOR GOOD

If these experiences sound familiar, your pain is likely a ligament, nerve, or muscle problem — and not the ones you’ve been told about! I’ve spent years researching and treating patients with these patterns, and I don’t want you to be stuck at square one.

With our 90-Minute Deep Dive (which includes our Pain Profile, 32-Point Back Inspection, Precision Back Scan, and Diagnostic Mapping Technique) we’ll not only provide an accurate diagnosis (and explain it to you!), but also a personalized treatment plan to effectively relieve pain, restore function to your ligaments, nerves, and

Asset Protection for Your Heirs

Recently a client asked whether his Revocable Living Trust (RLT) would protect his assets from his creditors. The answer is no. While the RLT is a great estate planning and probate avoidance tool, it is not an asset protection trust.

I told him that while his RLT didn’t protect him from his debts, we could structure the inheritance for his children to protect them – and not just from potential creditors. We do this by directing in the RLT that each beneficiary receives their share in their own irrevocable trust.

TRUSTS CAN KEEP AN INHERITANCE OUT OF THE HANDS OF CREDITORS

The beneficiaries’ trusts do give them asset protection. An outright gift of the inheritance can result in a beneficiary’s creditors snatching all your hard-earned money. For instance, in 2008, Son started a business, but in the economic downturn, the business failed. He filed bankruptcy. A month after filing, Mom died, leaving him everything in an

outright distribution. It was all his. Except it wasn’t his. Because he had filed bankruptcy, it all went to his bankruptcy trustee.

Giving the inheritance in trust could have protected the inheritance from the bankruptcy creditors and could have given him a fresh start.

TRUSTS CAN PROTECT AN IRRESPONSIBLE HEIR FROM HIMSELF AND STILL PROVIDE FOR HIS WELFARE

My client mentioned that his son had addiction issues, and while he has been clean and sober for a while, he still had concerns.

I told him the irrevocable trust can provide protection for beneficiaries who might not manage the inheritance well, whether due to addiction issues or just being bad with money. Leaving the money in trust doesn’t mean you don’t provide for them. The trust provides that the trustee can make discretionary distributions to the beneficiary for their health, education, maintenance, and support.

Giving the inheritance in an irrevocable trust allows

your beneficiary to benefit from the assets but doesn’t give that person unlimited access to spend how they please.

TRUSTS CAN PROTECT THE INHERITANCE IN CASE OF YOUR BENEFICIARY’S DIVORCE OR DEATH

My client liked the idea of the irrevocable trust and asked me about protecting his daughter’s inheritance from her husband. The marriage was rocky, and he was concerned about what would happen if she decided to divorce after getting her inheritance.

I explained that if his daughter received her inheritance in trust, it could prevent her from losing part of it in a divorce. The assets held in trust won’t be divided up, because the inherited trust is separate property, belonging only to the daughter and not her husband.

My client was very happy to be putting protections for his children in place to assure his hard-earned money would benefit them the way he hoped. If you are interested in estate planning, visit my website at libbybanks.com or call 602-375-6752 for your free initial consultation.

Entertainment Movie Reviews and Upcoming Release Dates

“Trap”

A father finds himself on the edge of having his dark secret life exposed while attending a concert with his daughter.

Josh Hartnett (Cooper) shows an astonishing ability to play a true sociopath in this film. Hartnett’s performance matches the story’s twists and turns, keeping you guessing what will happen next. Different from M. Night Shyamalan’s (Writer/Director) previous works, “Trap” is the closest to a Hitchcock-esque feel he has been able to achieve. The film’s unnaturally odd, and at times comedic, world seen through the equally disturbing mind of a dangerous man is absolutely thrilling. Some of the greatest imagery here, which add to the cold and calculating mood, is brought to us through the lens of Sayombhu Mukdeeproom (Director of Photography). The final ten minutes are by far some of the best

performances of everyone involved in this film, or possibly their entire careers. The story is not for everyone, but for those who love Shyamalan’s work, this is very much for you.

“Didi”

The last month of summer told through the eyes of a young man coming of age.

“Didi” shows a side of Taiwanese life rarely seen. Life for a young man on the verge of entering high school is surprisingly relatable for anyone, regardless of background or economic status. Turning thirteen is a rough time for anyone, when changes in your body and mind can run you through the ringer almost daily. Director Sean Wang captures this rollercoaster beautifully through the eyes of Chris, who we follow along a summer ride full of bad decisions and life choices. Joan Chen (Chris) is terrific in his reserved yet clearly personal performance. The film is comedic, filmed in a manner akin to mid-2000s movie genres and will make you laugh, cry and reminisce all at once.

“Cuckoo”

The new home of a young girl and her family hides dark and disturbing secrets.

The underlying story in “Cuckoo” is clear for the viewer, however the way it plays out is not so engaging. The story is hurt by the film’s pacing and lack of development beyond the main characters. Hunter Schafer (Gretchen) and Dan Stevens (Herr Koing) are truly the saving grace in this film. Particularly, Hunter’s ability to portray her deeply alienated feelings and Dan’s calculating nature. Filmed in nothing short of a gorgeous manner, the visuals of the surrounding woods create a feeling of haunting isolation. Tilman Singer (Writer/Director) creates just the right balance between scares and silliness. At times, these aspects may not even fit with the point of the film, yet somehow still work. Overall, I believe this to be an entertaining film; a clear sign of the potential for Tilman Singer’s career.

ON NETFLIX

“Rebel Moon - Part One: The Director’s Cut”

The ultimate vision of Rebel Moon with new scenes and effects.

As I feared, the “improved” director’s cut was as disappointing as the original. Director Zack Snyder’s updated vision promised a “new story.” Instead, what we get is a longer, equally as flawed,

film. With very few new scenes, little is actually added as “unseen” and what is, does nothing to develop the story or characters. What Snyder chose to bring back only added gore and profanities which simply felt like a sad play for shock and awe. “Rebel Moon” is not an accurate portrayal of his abilities, as we know from his previous works, his talent places him at the top of his field.

Free Community Event! Why You Still Have Sciatica & Back Pain

(And How To Get Rid Of It For Good)

Is doing everyday things from standing up straight to finding comfortable sleeping positions and even just walking difficult because of sciatica pain? You may find it hard to focus on enjoying those around you because you’re distracted by your pain. You may have already tried chiropractic, massage, stretching, and exercise, but the difficulty is knowing which things will help and which won’t. This can be frustrating because it seems unpredictable.

Some sciatica is caused by muscular weakness and restriction, while others can be caused by stiff joints. Ultimately, certain exercises may help some sciatica, but make other types worse. To best help you, I’ve compiled a list of tips that will help anyone with sciatica regardless of the type to reduce daily pain.

Most people with sciatica just want to know if there’s a solution that actually lasts. Solutions that used to work, don’t work any longer. Eventually you find yourself in a rabbit hole, searching high and low for solutions that hopefully help you avoid surgery.

One of my patients, Marian, had tried everything above on top of back surgery, unspecialized physical therapy, pain management, spinal injections, spinal electrostimulation, acupuncture, and dietary analysis. Marian told me, “When you go through this, you learn how many things you can no longer do if you can’t stand or walk.”

You Don’t Have to Choose Between Surgery and Giving Up the Activities that You Love. Sciatica is so common because many of the solutions out there just take one area into consideration. The muscles, the joints, nerves, strength, weakness, etcetera. The simple truth is that sciatica is a complex condition with many contributing factors.

The core issue, which has been proven time and again in the best research, is that the body has developed compensation patterns in order to protect itself. These patterns are hardwired into the brain, and will continue to persist unless they are fixed.

This pattern is what CAUSES the tight muscles, and the stiff joints. These tight muscles and stiff joints eventually pinch the nerve, causing sciatica. Therefore, correcting the pattern is the true root cause. No matter how long you’ve suffered, you can still get your life back. No surgery. No pills.

6 Reasons Why Your Sciatica May Be Lasting Longer than it Should:

1. You tried looking up exercises to do on your own for your sciatica. But with many “causes,” it’s difficult to figure out which exercises are right for you. This is why some exercises can seem to make it better, but some make it much worse.

2. You tried a few relaxing massages and it felt good for a few days but then it came back.

3. You tried chiropractic care and it eased a bit, but the nagging sensation is still there.

4. You tried waiting for it to go away on its own. That didn’t work…

5. You went to the doctor’s office, and they gave you

pain meds or nerve medication to numb the pain. They told you to come back in 6 weeks if it didn’t work.

6. You went to a physical therapist who put you on the same exercises everyone else with sciatica gets…then they left you with an assistant who only half watched your technique.

Why What You’ve Tried Hasn’t Worked

If any of these things have happened to you, unfortunately it’s common. The issue with a lot of these methods is that they focus on addressing the symptoms, not the root cause of your sciatica.

What to Avoid

Here are 3 things that can make your sciatica pain worse.

Stretching: If you’ve been stretching to fix your sciatica and it hasn’t worked yet, it likely won’t. More often than not, sciatica has come up because of tight muscles. Stretching is for short muscles. Tight muscles are tight because they’re compensating for a weak muscle nearby.

Stretching will relieve them for a little bit, but it will come back unless the weakness is resolved.

Crossing Your Legs: Avoid crossing your legs at all costs. This can cause stretching in the back of your hip which compresses the sciatic nerve. It also causes twisting in your hips and pelvis which can put stress on the nerves in your back.

Resting: Certain activities right now might make your sciatica worse, but that doesn’t mean you should restrict all of your movements. If certain things are painful, like walking, lifting, sitting, it’s important to find the root cause so you can start moving properly and stay active.

How to Fix Sciatica for the Long Term

So many of the “solutions” we try only provide temporary relief because they’re not targeting the root cause. And without getting to the source of the problem, sciatica pain will continue to return because the cause was never addressed.

Marian learned this the hard way, and unfortunately a lot of people do. After addressing the root cause, Marian says, “I’m back to walking 3-4 miles a day; I can lift and hold my grandbabies; I can go to parties without having to sit in a corner; I can go shopping again.” The only thing she’d change? Finding a specialist to help her address the root cause sooner. “I could have avoided a lot of doctors’ appointments and needless and expensive treatments, not to mention losing a couple of years to my other attempts.”

Pair them with mezcal maven artisancrafted cocktails, such as the El Matador which is made with Don Julio Reposado, Unión Uno Mezcal, habanero,

hibiscus, pomegranate, lime, and black lava salt. Finish your culinary getaway with the Chocolate Kahlua Cake featuring layers of chocolate mousse made from 70% single-origin chocolate from Ecuador, as well as a Kahlua made in Mexico.

A Legacy of Glamor:

Hollywood and Presidential Guests

Tales of the rich and famous, who flocked to the resort’s inviting environs and attentive staff, abound. Clark Gable once lost his wedding ring on the golf course and was overjoyed when a helpful Biltmore employee found it. Marilyn Monroe loved the stunning Catalina pool so much; she declared it her favorite pool for sunbathing. Harpo Marx honeymooned at the hotel—often holding hands with his bride and skipping through the formal dining room after meals, which both charmed and scandalized his fellow guests.

In 1988, a few guests on the second floor of the main wing reported an “awful ruckus going on” in the piano bar late one evening. The staff gently coaxed the disgruntled guests out of their rooms to peek—they were surprised to see none other than Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Liza Minelli were singing an impromptu set, quickly turning grumbling into delight.

Where Past Meets Present

These days, a stay at the storied Arizona Biltmore offers an array of five-star amenities. No matter what type of getaway you seek, Arizona Biltmore has something for everyone.

TESTIMONIALS

When the decision was made that we needed to move into a senior community there was never a question of who we’d work with to sell our home in Terravita. Quick sale, wonderful communication, and a great price! There is no question we consider Scott Gaertner Realty our go to realty and highly recommend his team.

We’d been in the house for 28 years and significant downsizing had to take place. Scott found us an extremely helpful business with experience helping seniors downsize. Scott, his team, and Reavanti (downsizing team) treated us with care, patience, and empathy...The team understood our needs throughout the journey. It took Scott’s knowledge and strategic skill to get this done. We are very grateful..
