Are you ready for an HVAC journey that goes beyond the ordinary? Arizaz Heating and Cooling is not just another heating and air conditioning company in the Valley. They’re your reliable HVAC partner with a heart, dedicated to delivering exceptional services while making a positive impact in our community.
What sets them apart is a commitment to quality service and a remarkable story.
The story begins with Robert Gracia, the owner of Arizaz Heating and Cooling. Gracia’s journey
is nothing short of inspirational. After serving time in prison and being released in 2018, he was determined to become a productive member of society. Armed with trade certifications, a supportive family, a strong faith, and a desire for a better life, he embarked on a path to success.
Gracia’s journey to becoming a successful HVAC business owner started with his employment at Alliance Plumbing Service and Repair. He quickly moved up the ranks and transitioned into the HVAC mechanical business. Eventually, he became a foreman for an emerging company in the area, where he was entrusted with running the HVAC division.
But Gracia had even bigger dreams. He obtained his contractor’s license and realized his dream by founding Arizaz Heating and Cooling. Today, he not only provides top-quality HVAC services but also serves as an example of resilience, transformation, and dedication to the community.
Arizaz Heating and Cooling’s commitment to excellence extends far beyond their HVAC services. They believe in going the extra mile to ensure customers receive the best care while also making a positive impact in the community. Here’s what sets them apart:
Their dedication to delivering top-notch HVAC services in Arizona is unwavering. Whether you need a multipoint inspection, a new HVAC unit, ductless mini splits, or duct modification services, they have the expertise to meet your needs. With competitive pricing, 24/7 availability, and free estimates, they make your comfort and satisfaction top priorities.
They understand the value of your hard-earned money. That’s why they offer competitive pricing. Their low overhead allows them to pass on the savings to customers, ensuring that you get the best possible value for your HVAC needs.

In appreciation for the dedication and service of first responders and veterans, they provide special discounts as a token of gratitude. It’s their way of saying thank you.
Their involvement in the community goes beyond business. Arizaz Heating and Cooling proudly sponsors local high school basketball and football teams. Additionally, they have plans to donate air conditioning units to needy families in the future, helping those who may be facing challenging circumstances.
Their commitment to community doesn’t stop t here. They envision bringing people together t hrough events such as concerts and barbecues, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie within our community.
Arizaz Heating and Cooling takes pride in offering a comprehensive range of HVAC services designed to ensure your comfort year-round, including multipoint inspections to new unit installations and everything in between.
Regular maintenance is key to keeping your HVAC system running efficiently and extending its lifespan. Multipoint inspections and tune-ups cover everything from checking electrical components to ensuring that your unit is running to factory
specifications. They recommend scheduling these inspections twice a year, especially if you have an older HVAC unit.
If it’s time for a new HVAC unit, Arizaz Heating and Cooling has you covered. They offer competitive pricing on new units and installation. Their goal is to earn your business while providing you with the best possible value.
Looking for an alternative way to heat or cool specific areas of your home, like a man cave, garage, or Arizona room? Consider their ductless mini split air conditioners. They offer efficient, customizable heating and cooling options.
Improper ductwork can lead to uneven temperatures and decreased efficiency in your HVAC system. Their duct modification services help optimize your heating and cooling ducting systems for better performance and efficiency.
For Gracia and the Arizaz Heating and Cooling team, giving back to the community is a fundamental part of their mission. They believe that it’s not just how you start in life; it’s how you finish that truly matters. Gracia’s commitment to his family, his role as a leader and counselor to those struggling with self-identity and addiction, and his dedication to being a productive member of society exemplify the company’s core values.

WESTERN SPIRIT: SCOTTSDALE’S MUSEUM OF THE WEST IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE AND HOST THE SECOND ANNUAL “THE COOL FRONTIER,” A SUMMER SCHEDULE OF EVENTS THAT OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE — ALL IN AIR-CONDITIONED COMFORT IN THE VALLEY’S FIRST MUSEUM TO HONOR ACTOR KEVIN COSTNER WITH THE 2025 WESTERN SPIRIT AWARD.
To celebrate the theme “It’s Cool in Here,” Western Spirit, which is located at 3830 N. Marshall Way, Scottsdale, AZ, 85251 is offering a Buy One, Get One Free special. Guests who purchase one adult or senior admission ticket at the regular price will receive a second one of equal value FREE. The FREE tickets are valid until September 30, 2025.
This summer, Western Spirit is featuring a number of eye-catching and educational exhibits. These include A Decade of Western Spirit, a large-scale timeline on display in the lobby that highlights the groundbreaking exhibitions and achievements that have helped make Western Spirit a Smithsonian Affiliate museum that is regularly named the No. 1 Western Museum in the United States, as well as a 2025 Inductee to the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Scottsdale History Hall of Fame.
Women of the Southwest: A Legacy of Painting is on view through August 24, 2025. The exhibit is comprised of almost 200 works by 25 pioneering women artists gifted to Western Spirit by Fran and Edward Elliott.
As a group, the female artists have achieved an impressive list of “firsts.” For example, Lillian Wilhelm Smith was the first woman to paint the Rainbow Bridge, and she was the only woman illustrator of Zane Grey’s novels. Painter Jessie Benton Evans was one of the catalysts behind the first art show at the Arizona State Fair that began in 1915.
OTHER EXHIBITS THAT MUSEUM GOERS CAN EXPERIENCE THIS SUMMER INCLUDE:
• Collecting Stories: John Coleman Bronzes from the Collection of Frankie and Howard Alper. The exhibit features a selection of bronzes from the Alper Family’s collection, including the 10-piece Explorer Artist Series, inspired by the 19th century paintings of George Catlin and Karl Bodmer.
• Canvas of Clay: Hopi Pottery Masterworks from The Allan and Judith Cooke Collection. This exhibit is on display for the first time and includes more than 65 of the finest examples of Hopi pottery.
• Courage & Crossroads: A Visual Journey through the American West. Meriwether Lewis’ presentation style pipe tomahawk and other rare Native American objects serve as the centerpiece of this story of America’s West in the 19th and early 20th centuries; in all, the exhibit includes more than 100 paintings and sculptures.
• The A.P. Hays Spirit of the West Collection. The exhibit offers a collection of 1,400 Old West items from Scottsdale gallerist Abe Hay; these include revolvers, rifles, saddles, knives, holsters, spurs, chaps, badges and more.
• People, Places, Predicaments: John Clymer’s West. Clymer was an extraordinary artist whose work vividly captured the spirit of exploration and adventure of the American West. The exhibit features over 50 paintings by John Ford Clymer from the Eddie Basha Collection.
For those who have always wanted to see artists in action firsthand as they are creating and honing their crafts, Artist Tuesdays will give visitors the chance to do exactly that.
Every Tuesday from approximately 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in June, July and August, artists — including Lindsay Green, Ira Grin, Paul Steele, Milly Guthrie, Kathy Howard — will be at the museum painting their artwork in person.
“Artist Tuesdays will allow our visitors to
watch some of our local western artists at work — or maybe discover a new favorite,” said Todd Bankofier, CEO and Executive Director of Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West. “This series offers a special and unique chance to literally watch the creative process in action as some of our most talented and local artists create art in front of your eyes!”
Finally, when the mercury rises and temperatures are determined to stay in the triple digits, watching a movie in an air-conditioned theater is a fun and effective way to keep cool.
Western Spirit has a full schedule of classic Spaghetti Western-themed movies planned for June starring well-known actors from the genre like Clint Eastwood, Jack Palance and Lee Van Cleef. Ticket prices and more information can be found at westernspirit.org/ programs.
“We know that the relentless summer heat can be challenging for many people. We are excited to give everyone the opportunity to come in, cool off and enjoy our summer schedule — all while saving some money on tickets, and hopefully becoming fans of all the West has to offer,” said Bankofier. “We welcome everyone to round up their family, come join us and see how at Western Spirit, it’s cool in here!”

THE MCCOURY BROTHERS — RONNIE (MANDOLIN) AND ROB (BANJO) — WERE BORN INTO THE BLUEGRASS TRADITION. Their father, Del, is among the most influential and successful musicians in the history of the genre.
Years on the road with their father in the Del McCoury Band honed the brothers’ knife-edge chops and encouraged the duo to imagine how traditional bluegrass could cut innovative pathways into 21st-century music.
With fiddler Christian Ward, bassist Alan Bartram, and latest recruit Cody Kilby on guitar, Ronni and Rob McCoury assembled a group that could honor the McCoury bluegrass heritage, incorporating the traditions they had learned and heard, while pushing the music forward.
The band has since become the only group to have each of its members recognized with an International Bluegrass Music Association Award for their instrument at least once.

PHOENIX ART MUSEUM WELCOMED
NEARLY 500 GUESTS ON FRIDAY, APRIL 11, FOR ITS ANNUAL GALA FUNDRAISER THE PARTY IN THE GARDEN, FOLLOWED BY THE LATE-NIGHT AFTERPARTY. This year’s event celebrated the Arizona premiere of internationally acclaimed exhibition The World of Anna Sui and brought in $2.2 million in support of the Museum’s exhibitions, arts education programs, free-access hours, and vital operations — the most raised in the gala’s nearly 20-year history. The record-breaking event was chaired by Jordan Rose and Rob Walton and Jay Franke and David Herro, with afterpARTy cochairs Andrew and Jennifer Cooper.
“On behalf of everyone at Phoenix Art
Museum, I extend our heartfelt thanks to the chairs, guests, and supporters of this year’s pARTy in the Garden, including designer Anna Sui who joined us to celebrate the Arizona premiere of The World of Anna Sui,” said Jeremy Mikolajczak, the Museum’s Sybil Harrington Director and CEO. “Each year, the gala brings in invaluable support for our mission, and this year, we are humbled to be the recipients of a record-breaking display of generosity, which included a $1 million gift from Jordan Rose and Rob Walton to ensure the longevity of our contemporary art program.”
Set beneath the stars in the Dorrance Sculpture Garden, the gala event captured the spirit of “rock ‘n’ roll romance” inspired by the designs of iconic American designer Anna Sui. Guests arrived in
striking fashions and enjoyed immersive décor, an elegant culinary experience courtesy of Tarbell’s, and a private preview of The World of Anna Sui before it opened to the public. During the evening, the Museum announced for the first time a $1 million gift from Jordan Rose and Rob Walton to launch the Rob Walton, Jordan Rose, and Rose Law Group Fund for Contemporary Art. The endowment fund will provide ongoing support for contemporary art exhibitions, educational programs, and scholarship, strengthening the Museum’s longevity in this critical area. This gift, coupled with $1.2 million raised through individual ticket sales, table sales, and donations, brought the Museum to an astounding $2.2 million raised in behalf of the institution.
Following dinner, the Museum trans-
million
formed for The afterpARTy, an exclusive, museum-after-dark experience that this year was chaired by Jennifer and Andrew Cooper. Guests enjoyed a live performance by international electronic music sensation Felix Cartal, along with custom cocktails, late-night bites, desserts, and art-inspired activities. All proceeds for The afterpARTy also benefit the Museum’s exhibitions, education programs, free-access times, and operations.

IKEA HAS ANNOUNCED PLANS TO OPEN A NEW STORE IN PHOENIX IN EARLY 2026, MARKING THE SWEDISH FURNITURE GIANT’S THIRD LOCATION IN THE VALLEY.
The new store will be located at the southwest corner of Tatum Boulevard and Cactus Road, directly across from the Paradise Valley Mall redevelopment. At 75,000 square feet, IKEA Phoenix will be a singlestory store offering home furnishing accessories and about 75 small furniture items.
IKEA Phoenix will include over 3,000 articles for immediate take-away and as well as a Swedish deli, serving hot and cold food in-store or on the go.
Larger pieces such as sofas, beds and kitchen ranges won’t be available in-store, but customers can order them online for free pickup or home delivery for a fee, according to a company press release. Arizona

Market Manager Kori Thorstenson said IKEA Phoenix will be a “smaller format store” compared to the 375,000-square-foot IKEA Tempe that opened in 2004.
The Phoenix store is part of IKEA’s broader strategy to expand access and convenience for customers across the state.
“Our ambition is to furnish all the homes in the state of Arizona,” Thorstenson said. “I have great feelings that there’s much more to come.”
IKEA made the announcement during the grand opening ceremony of the IKEA Scottsdale at The Promenade Wednesday, May 7.
The new Plan & Order Point at The Promenade in Scottsdale allows customers an opportunity to meet one-on-one with IKEA team members. Whether it’s planning a new kitchen, bedroom, closet, bath or business project, IKEA team members are present at the Plan & Order Point to provide guidance and support the planning process.
The Plan & Order Point also allows customers to pick up purchases instore or plan a home-delivery.

We are highlighting business favorites across the Valley. This year we have separate ballots –West Valley, East Valley, North Valley, and Fountain Hills. Our readers will nominate the best businesses in our communities to tell us who they want to see in the voting round.
Only top 5 nominations move on to the voting round.
HI MY NAME IS... Sarah Duncan
I’VE LIVED IN ARIZONA FOR... 46 years. It is the perfect place for me to live because I love all our natural wonders and the laid-back people and atmosphere here in the Valley!
HIGHLIGHTS... I was born and raised in Phoenix, and I am a fourth-generation Arizonan. I attended Santa Clara University in the Bay area and lived in Portland, Oregon for a few years before moving back to the Valley to be near my family. I am an avid tennis player. I played at Xavier College Preparatory (class of 1996), on my college team and the Junior National Circuit. I have a passion for travel and have been extremely fortunate to travel throughout North and South America, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australia. In my free time, I enjoy hiking,
scuba diving, running, reading and spending time with family and friends.
BUSINESS NAME AND LOCATION...
The Beau Collective is a unique fitness, retail and social flex space located at 5115 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix. Anticipated to open in summer 2025, this will be the perfect “third space” for Valley residents to build community and have fun. Visit www. thebeaucollectivephx.com/ for more.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT AND WHY...
I am extremely excited for The Beau Collective to open this summer and for the “third place” that will soon be available for all to come and shop, work out and gather.
A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES...
A meditation and hike in the morning before work, connecting with fosters to check in on how the rescue animals are doing and usually an evening run with one of the local run clubs in Phoenix.
THE PERFECT DAY… is hiking with friends and Koa in one of our gorgeous mountain ranges in Arizona.
MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… the Arizona Humane Society and Caring for Canines, a non-profit 501©3 animal rescue organization I started in 2003. We rescue dogs off of the euthanasia list at shelters throughout the state as well as take in animals from people who can no longer care for their pets.
WHAT I DO... This summer, I will run day-to-day operations for the Phoenix location of The Beau Collective. The 6,600 square-foot Phoenix-area building will be home to HIIT-style training classes, one-of-a-kind retail shopping as well as a place for community and connection. There is a private room perfect for intimate business meetings, personal growth sessions, community workshops and inspirational and social connections. The business has been flourishing in Park City, Utah for the past 10 years and was the brainchild of one of my best friends and classmates from Xavier College Prep.
WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT DOING
BUSINESS HERE... Even though Maricopa County is one of the largest counties in the country, there is still the feeling of a small town in the business community. People are genuinely willing to help each other out, share ideas and provide support and advice.
MY FAMILY IS... big and so much fun! My extended family, including my grandparents who are in their 90s, my 11 aunts and uncles and 14 cousins (plus all their kids), still get together for the holidays.
ONE THING I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT...
Getting outside in nature every day to reset and enjoy the peace and serenity of our beautiful Valley surroundings.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… a veterinarian. Since I was young, I have always wanted to help animals.
THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME… Jane Goodall for her inspirational work with animal studies, conservation efforts and animal welfare issues.
THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… my silly rescue puppy Koa who gets into all sorts of mischief and is very dramatic.
THE BEST GIFT I EVER RECEIVED WAS… a trip after college graduation to Paris with one of my best friends from high school. This adventure inspired my love of travel and experiencing new cultures.
MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with a safari to follow.
THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED… is to find joy and laughter in the small things in everyday life.
Duncan enjoys travel and spending time outdoors. (Submitted photo)

You can always tell when the market tips in the buyer’s favor — like it has now. One of the first things we notice? Inspection requests get a whole lot longer. The days of buyers waiving inspections are long gone, and now they’re asking for things that will leave you scratching your head — or maybe clenching your fists.
This shift can be frustrating for agents, but for homeowners, it can feel downright offensive. That’s where I come in. My job is to keep the emotion out and the perspective in. Knowing when to stand firm and when to bend a little. There’s no checklist for this — it’s gut and experience. And during times like these, it’s more important than ever to get inspections right.
One of the best things you can do before putting your home on the market is to get a pre-listing home inspection. It’ll cost you about $500, but I can’t think of a better investment. We’ve had clients save thousands of dollars — and a few million gray hairs — by heading off issues before a buyer sees them.
Why does it work so well? Because buyers tend to assume the worst. What looks like a $75 fix to you might look like a $3,000 problem to them — especially if their last DIY project ended with a flooded kitchen and an angry wife! Even a handful of small fixes can give the
impression you’ve neglected the home — whether it’s true or not. And in this market, buyers are emboldened. Many have been on the losing end of bidding wars for years, and now that the market has cooled, they’re asking for everything they can get. You can take some of the air out of that balloon by fixing the obvious things up front. This doesn’t have to cost a lot, but it can make a big difference in the buyer’s impression of your home.
That’s especially true if your home has never been sold. Back in the day — 30 years ago — inspections weren’t standard on new builds, and builders weren’t always held to today’s standards. If you’ve been in the same home since then, a lot can go unnoticed. We think this is such a no-brainer that we now pay for the pre-inspection for our listing clients.
Here’s something I tell every seller: the inspector will find problems. That’s their job. Even if you’ve taken perfect care of your home, they’ll find something to write down. It might be a crooked outlet cover, but it’ll be on the report like it’s a federal offense. That’s not a personal attack — it’s just the process. Just expect it, deal with it, and keep things moving.
That goes for the requests that follow, too. Sometimes they’re reasonable. Sometimes they’re not. Either way, keep emotion out of it. I know that’s easier said than done, especially when it’s your personal home. Remember, the process can be emotional for the buyer too. They’re about to write a very large check, and they want to feel safe doing it.
The inspection response is one of the trickiest parts of any deal — and it’s where a great agent really earns their keep. A great agent has a team behind them to help price, interpret, strategize, and negotiate. They make sure someone picks up the phone to discuss what matters — and what doesn’t. With the right support, they
know when to push back and when to let a few small things slide.
Importantly, they also shield you from unnecessary drama. Some agents pass along buyer comments that are flat-out insulting. A good agent filters that noise and keeps the tone professional. That can be the difference between a sale that falls apart and one that closes smoothly.
We’re also keeping a close eye on what buyers actually want. There are some surprising trends showing up that, when applied correctly, can help sellers make upgrades that pay off — often doubling their money. I always say, “I’ll spend a dollar to make two every day of the week.”

F
or most of our clients, the estate plan centers on the Revocable Living Trust. When establishing your Trust, one of the most important decisions is who will be your successor Trustee. During your lifetime and while you have mental capacity, you serve as the Trustee. If you are incapacitated, or upon your death, your Trust appoints a successor trustee to step into your shoes to carry out your wishes.
When selecting your Successor Trustee, it’s important that you assure yourself that they understand what they will be called upon to do. Whoever you choose, be sure to ask them if they are willing to serve. Next, be sure they understand the role they may play.
The first time your successor trustee may serve is if you are incapacitated. Make sure your trustee realizes that they may begin to serve while you are still alive but unable to manage your own finances, and that they know what you want. The job of Trustee during incapacity could be a short stint or a long haul. Be sure your Trustee is up for the task either way.
Your Successor Trustee will also wrap up your financial affairs at your death.
Assure that your Successor Trustee understands what types of property they may have to administer. Will they be selling a house here and in another state? Do you own a business or rental properties? Have you inherited mineral interests? Do you have many different accounts and brokerage accounts — or Bitcoin? While you don’t have to disclose all your finances to your Successor Trustee, be sure they understand the extent of what they may have to address when they begin to serve at your death.
Your Successor Trustee may also be managing a trust created on your death for one or more beneficiaries, especially if you have minor children. Talking you’re your trustee about what you expect and what your wishes are for your beneficiaries.
Selecting a trustee and talking with them about your plan is important. If you need an estate plan or want a review of your current plan, take advantage of a free initial consultation with one of our three attorneys by calling the office at (602) 375-6752, or inquire through our website at https:// libbybanks.com/schedule-estateplanning-meeting.
And if your trustee needs training, we are offering a webinar and workbook to train your trustee soon. For our Legacy Care Program Members, this is a free webinar. The fee for nonmembers is $450.

“Iwas losing sleep. I couldn’t get comfortable at night and would wake up constantly. That was the most frustrating part. Everything I was told to do was not helping… the pain was only getting worse.”
Tim, 46, came to us after exhausting every option outside of surgery. A competitive volleyball player, energetic entrepreneur, and father to two boys, Tim took pride in his active lifestyle and was determined to find a solution for his shoulder pain.
Ice packs and heat compresses were no longer helpful, and relying on pain-pills was not an option he wanted to take. He committed to physical therapy for several weeks with little impact, tried dry needling and cortisone injections without success, and was ultimately told by multiple doctors to stop all activity that aggravated his arm. Tim had done everything his insurance allowed but was still stuck at square one.
Tim had fallen into what we call “The Gap” — where insurance-based care cycles with no end in sight, surgery isn’t an option, and waiting for the pain to get

worse seems like the only choice. Most providers only look for what they know how to treat. But our comprehensive ‘Deep Dive’ approach and expertise allowed us to bridge that gap for Tim.
Using a detailed pain profile, 32-point shoulder inspection, MSK ultrasound scan, and diagnostic injection, we were able to confirm Tim’s SC Joint injury and quickly develop a targeted treatment plan to heal the damaged tissue.
In just 4 weeks, the pain improved significantly, allowing Tim to regain his range of motion, sleep soundly at night, and return to the sport he loves:
“My body is performing better than before, and I have resumed playing volleyball — something I didn’t think I
would ever be able to do again! If you’re tired of the ‘just hope for the best’ from many in the medical field, and want a complete set of options, Ethos Integrative Medicine is the place to go.”

A police officer finds himself heading into the darkest corners of his city to save a politician’s son.
Gareth Evans newest film, Havoc, is filled with action sequences easily rivaling his early works. However, this film overall film seems to lack a certain level of impact. The more story-centric, meandering paced plot was simply unable to take us anywhere but Dullsville. Even the actors, as good as they are, were hard pressed to give enough to elevate the thin material. By the end, it doesn’t feel like the typical tension as to who lives or dies but instead a sad indifference. Not a disaster, but certainly disappointing given the potential.
Following his mother’s passing, a man decides to open a restaurant featuring Italian grandmothers as chefs.
There is nothing outright offensive about Nonnas, everyone and everything in it is competent in an easily digestible story. That bland recipe is also its drawback. There’s no urgency to the stress of opening this restaurant. No feeling it could all fall apart. Even the drama between the titular Nonnas isn’t overly engaging. The attempt at humor falls short too of any genuine laughs, only drawing polite chuckles. The film seemed to be on autopilot. Making most obvious and easy choices creating a digestible but forgettable feature.
Stephanie finds herself entwined with deceit and murder after being invited to Emily’s wedding.
Paul Feig is this film’s biggest kneecap. He does not go beyond his comedic roots to find a the muchneeded balance between comedy and thriller. It’s shot plainly, with no sense of mood or atmosphere creating no feel of danger around the next corner. Unfortunately, what the film lacks in thrill is not made up for in comedy. The characters come across as annoying and act in an obnoxious manner. A film of starts and stops, it feels much longer than it is. A sequel that falls short of its predecessor, and it shows.
The U.S. President goes back to her military roots protecting her family and colleagues at a summit overrun by terrorists.
Without a doubt, the best part of the film is Viola Davis. The actor is fully committed to the role showing a dramatic prowess that will surely make her an Oscar contender. The film itself could use some help. Clearly stretching the limits of its budget and in the hands of people who aren’t as experienced in the genre. Many of the other actors are not on the same level as Davis. While all provide a valiant effort, the moments without Davis feel like a huge dip in quality. A story like this was never going to
make for an all-time winner, but it’s hard not to feel as if in another production’s hands there would have been a more entertaining version to be had.

In the next 10 years, the surgical industry is expected to double. From joint replacements to spinal surgeries, more and more people are being told their only option is invasive procedures. Yet in the U.S., we already spend as much on back pain annually as we do on cancer, diabetes, and arthritis combined—without meaningful progress.
The worst part? These surgeries are far from guaranteed to restore your quality of life. Our reactive healthcare system focuses on managing symptoms instead of solving problems at their root. If you want to protect your quality of life, the time to take control is now.
“They Told Me I’d Have to Stop— But Now I’m Back to Doing What I Love”
For many people, persistent pain doesn’t just steal your mobility—it shrinks your world. Whether it’s playing with your kids or grandkids, traveling, or enjoying hobbies, pain can make even small moments feel out of reach.
That’s why local doctor Tom Padilla wrote his #1 bestselling book, Solving the Root Cause of Pain. Inspired by his own battle with undiagnosed chronic pain in his 20s, and countless stories from patients - Dr. Padilla created this easy-to-read book to help others escape the cycle of temporary fixes and failed treatments.
“Many people we see at my clinic have been told their pain is just a part of getting older, or that nothing more can be done,” says Dr. Padilla. “But most of the time, pain isn’t inevitable—it’s a signal that something deeper is going on. You just need the right tools to address it.”
“Pain Isn’t Just Physical—It Steals the Best Parts of Your Life”
The book offers practical tools and insights for those struggling to find answers. Readers will discover:
•The Root Cause of Pain: Why most treatments fail and how to address the real issue.
•Breaking Free from Temporary Fixes: How to avoid the cycle of painkillers, injections, and short-term solutions.
•The Hidden Cause of Stiffness: Why stretching and massage don’t fix the problem— and what to do instead.
•Finding the Right Providers: How to identify skilled providers and spot red flags before wasting time or money.
•Taking Control of Your Health: Simple strategies to stay active, prevent injuries, and enjoy life without fear of pain returning.
•Why MRI’s and X-Rays Can Be Misleading: Why relying on imaging alone is risky.
Each chapter provides clear, actionable advice to help you find answers the healthcare system hasn’t been able to give you.
“What If You’re Not ‘Just Getting Older’—But You’ve Got the Wrong Diagnosis?”
“Many chronic injuries can heal if treated at the root cause,” says Dr. Padilla. “But far too often, healthcare providers miss the mark by focusing only on symptoms. People end up stuck, wasting time on ineffective treatments, and feeling like their pain will never go away.”
One example is Kathy, a 50-year-old grandmother who had tried everything from chiropractic care to massage therapy, only to be left frustrated and in pain. After working with Dr. Padilla’s team to uncover the root cause of her pain, Kathy was back to hiking, playing with her grandkids, and living life without fear of injuries holding her back.
Dr. Padilla’s book not only helps readers identify the root cause of their pain but alsoteaches them how to evaluate whether a treatment is working. His goal is to provide clarity in a system that often leaves patients in the dark.
“Stop Losing Time with the Wrong Treatments”
Dr. Padilla knows firsthand how frustrating it is to feel dismissed by the healthcare system. That’s why he’s offering Solving the Root Cause of Pain for free—to give as many people as possible the tools they need to take control of their health. For a limited time, you can request a free copy with
no obligations and read it in the comfort of your home.
“There’s too much misinformation and too many people suffering needlessly,” Dr. Padilla explains. “My goal is to put good information into as many hands as possible, whether it’s understanding their pain or learning how to find the right provider, this book is about giving people the tools to take control of their health.”
If you’re tired of losing moments that matter most to pain or worry, this book could be the first step toward lasting relief.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine 3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. SOLUTION ON PAGE
