Red Rocks Music Festival Presents Legendary Violinist Shlomo Mintz and Pianist Vitaly Serebriakov in a Must-See Performance

P

repare to be mesmerized as the Red Rocks Music Festival proudly presents a once-in-a-lifetime musical extravaganza featuring the world-renowned violin virtuoso, Shlomo Mintz, alongside the immensely talented pianist, Vitaly Serebriakov. This spectacular performance is set to take place on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m., at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church, 4455 E. Lincoln Dr.

Shlomo Mintz will grace the stage with his unparalleled artistry, performing his own composition, “Sonatina,” making its Arizona premiere. But that’s not all; the audience can expect a breathtaking musical journey through the works of master composers, including A. Dvorak’s “Romance Op.11,” Saint-Saens’ “Habanera,” Sarasate’s “Carmen Fantasy,” and selections by the legendary Fritz Kreisler.

At the heart of this captivating concert,

Mintz’s reputation as one of the foremost violinists of our time is well-deserved. Born in Moscow in 1957, he has been celebrated for his impeccable musicianship, stylistic versatility, and commanding technique throughout his illustrious career. His musical journey began at the tender age of 11 when he made his concert debut with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. At 16, he wowed audiences at Carnegie Hall with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, all under the pa-

tronage of the great Isaac Stern. Over the years, Mintz has collaborated with a who’s who of musical legends, including Sergiu Celibidache, Pablo Casals, Eugene Ormandy, and Claudio Abbado, among others. His 50th-anniversary concert with the National Orchestra of France as both conductor and soloist was a testament to his enduring brilliance. Joining Mintz on stage is the remarkable pianist, Vitaly Serebriakov, whose thoughtful artistry and exquisite technique have earned him critical acclaim. His latest CD, “Infinitude,” featuring piano compositions by Scriabin, Medtner, and Prokofiev, has garnered high praise from music critics. Serebriakov’s passion for music education led him to co-found the Ostinato Conservatory of Music in Verrado and the non-profit organization “The Gift of Music Arizona.” Together with his wife, Svetlana, they serve as Artistic

Directors for Desert Hills Community School of Music in Scottsdale. Vitaly Serebriakov’s dedication to his craft has also made him a Yamaha Artist. Don’t miss this extraordinary performance. Tickets are available for $36 (general admission) and $15 (student). For more information and ticket purchases, visit redrocksmusicfestival.com or call 602-402-4551.
