CALLING ALL DESERT RIDGE PARENTS
By Erin Moorhead
CALLING ALL PARENTS, THE DESERT RIDGE PARENTS’ GROUP NEEDS YOU! WHY JOIN A PARENTS GROUP YOU ASK? When families join a parent group, they can meet other families with similar interests, activities and likes. Parent groups can serve many purposes, but one

of their most important can be to introduce families to others like themselves in their community.
When my family and I moved to Desert Ridge almost three years ago, we were instantly looking to connect with other families in the area. After spending many days at the park and walking around the neighborhood with no real connections, I started to search on-line. My Facebook search led me to the Desert Ridge Parents’ Group. I joined immediately and started to connect with other moms and families located within my own community. The events were convenient, easy and fun. I now serve on the Board and am lucky to work alongside several amazing moms and dads to continue to grow and benefit from this wonderful group.
Founded in 1997, The Desert Ridge Parents’ Group (DRPG) is a fun-filled organization for parents and children in the North phoenix area. Focusing on families with infants through early elementary school, DRPG offers play dates, family events, Mom’s & Dad’s Nights Out and much more. There is something for everyone to enjoy with all events conveniently taking

place in and around our wonderful Desert Ridge Community. If you are new to the area or simply looking to mix and mingle with other Desert Ridge Families, this is the group for you. All families in the Desert Ridge community are invited to check out our activities and events. For more information find us on our Facebook page at Desert Ridge Parents’ Group.
