OUTDOOR KITCHENS FOR PERFECT OUTDOOR DINING
By Tom Sertich of Kirk Development Company
One of the reasons we live in Arizona is our beautiful fall and winter weather. Now that we are into November, the temperatures are dropping and we can take advantage of the weather by spending as much time outdoors as possible.
On weekends we want to enjoy our backyards by spending time with family and friends. What better way to enjoy the weekends than by having a BBQ in the backyard? Moving the cooking to the outdoors gives you a more relaxing atmosphere and generally an easier cleanup.
Moving the kitchen to the backyard is a little involved, depending on the specific design you are looking for. Outdoor kitchens can include the BBQ, under counter refrigerator, sink, smokers and side burner. If you want to turn the area into a complete “outdoor experience” a fireplace or fire pit is a great idea. Outdoor pizza ovens can add yet another dimension to your outdoor kitchen. The whole family can get involved with preparing the pizza. There’s nothing more satisfying than cooking on an outdoor fire to give you peace. If you are looking for ideas on how you can take advantage of space in your own back yard, there are dozens of books and magazines to pick from. Let your imagination go wild and create a hide-a-way all your own or a place for the whole family to enjoy.
