September October 17-23, 2019 Mountain of Hope Casino The Mountain of Hope is an amazing organization here in the valley that helps people when they need it. I cannot say enough about the group and what they have done. ULLR is hosting a charity casino night this Saturday, October 19. Last year it was an incredible event and this year it will even bigger and better with 8 tables and professional dealers. VIP packages are available that include a 3 -course Birchwood dinner with wine pairing and first seats at the casino. Your $10 entry gives you some casino money. You are able to buy more. Make as much as you can to qualify for an amazing prize. I hope to be championing a blackjack table. See you there.

Legion Dinners This Friday, October 18, enjoy ham and scalloped potatoes at the Invermere Legion. Friday night dinners are a great thing at the Legion. This meal is a ‘member’s discount’ meal. Next week will be bratwurst and more with the Robert Larrabee show happening. I am looking forward to it.

No Man’s Land There are a lot of aspects and challenges to being a woman in today’s world. ‘NoMan’s Land’ is a film festival exploring what it means to be a woman in adventure, sport and film.
