Prep Chronicle YOUR ESSENTIAL ROUND-UP FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 18 MAY 2026 Message from the Head of Prep It has been another richly varied and successful week across the Prep School, with a number of exciting events both in and out of the classroom. Last Friday afternoon, we hosted a cross country race for local schools, which proved to be a wonderful occasion for all pupils to demonstrate their determination, resilience, and team spirit. It was particularly impressive to see how our boys supported one another over what was a very demanding course. Our Year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed their Evacuee Day, stepping back in time to experience life during the Second World War. From their costumes to their activities, the pupils embraced the day with enthusiasm and curiosity, bringing history vividly to life and deepening their understanding in a memorable way. The Young Musician Competition has provided our children with an excellent opportunity to showcase their skill and dedication. We look forward to seeing the finalists perform after the half-term break. Well done to all those who completed the Reading Challenge. Developing a lifelong love of books is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children, and it has been heartening to see such strong engagement. We look forward to celebrating on 2nd June with those who took part, marking their accomplishments. Finally, I would like to wish all our families a happy and restful half-term break. We hope you enjoy some welldeserved time together and return refreshed for the final half term of the academic year.
