Prep Chronicle YOUR ESSENTIAL ROUND-UP FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 15 JUNE 2026 Message from the Head of Prep It has been another incredibly busy and successful week across the Prep School, with our pupils immersing themselves in everything from historic adventures to the creative arts. History truly came alive as several year groups embarked on exciting educational visits. Year 6 enjoyed an immersive and memorable trip to Arundel Castle, exploring its rich heritage and bringing their classroom learning to life. Meanwhile, Year 4 travelled to Hampton Court Palace, where they participated in engaging workshops and even experienced a unique introduction to Real Tennis on the historic courts. On the sports field, teamwork remained in sharp focus as we hosted the Under 10 Cranmore Cricket Invitational. The tournament was a resounding success, showcasing excellent sportsmanship, determination, and great fun for all involved. Year 5 and Year 6 pupils took part in a fascinating session exploring Artificial Intelligence, before delivering outstanding Drama Showcase performances to an enthralled audience. A huge thank you to Mrs Castle and Mr Penfold for bringing the boys together and guiding them so effectively in producing such accomplished and confident performances. Finally, it has been an exceptionally musical week for our talented performers. Many pupils have been busy taking their ABRSM exams, and the Prep Piano Concert was a real treat for parents and guests alike. The musical celebrations culminated this afternoon as we were delighted to welcome the wider Cranmore community to our annual Proms in the Paddock extravaganza. My sincere thanks go to everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this such a memorable event. Mr Heaver
