From a single building with just a couple of classrooms, to a whole campus with just under 167 students, the Presentation School has grown remarkably since its founding in 1997 Originally, our school was connected with another school and were both combined at the community center near downtown But after multiple years serving as one school, they split up and went to different locations, and called themselves different names. One school is called The Presentation School, which is where we are now, and the other school is called St Francis In 2006, The Presentation School moved to our current campus Our school has been growing ever since A lot has changed through the years, and yet some traditions have remained steady, like how we still perform values assemblies and we also have uniforms still It may seem weird, but when The Presentation School started there were only 8 teachers and one of the teachers was the principal! Pictured to the right are the eight original teachers Also pictured to the right are pictures of the first classes at TPS Notice that 8 grade only had two students! Take a look at the original schedule from 1997 as well School began at 8:30 am and the middle school used to have a morning recess how lucky they were!

On October 22, the whole school was wearing the color orange But why? The reason we were all wearing orange was that it was Unity Day! A day where the whole school comes together to stand against bullying and promote kindness, inclusion, and acceptance And not only did our school wear orange, but also did any other people in the world wear it too! You might be wondering, why orange? Well, orange is a color of safety, like the traffic cones you see on the road, and it's already associated with Halloween, so it was perfect to have Unity Day in October Orange, especially bright orange, also attracts attention, and when you wear it, you stand out Bright orange contrasts sharply with most natural backgrounds Their goal is to send a national message that bullying is not acceptable and that all students deserve to feel safe. This day was made possibly by the Student Belonging Group, led by Mrs Yazzolino SBG has become a popular group at our school, and you might see them wearing pink shirts around campus They have been working hard to make our school more inclusive!

Come take a look at some of the amazing art projects that our student artists have been doing We’re so lucky to have Mrs Boles and her guidance!

The spotlight for this issue of the Presentation Post is Mrs B Mrs B is currently doing her dream job, which is teaching She is an assistant teacher for TK and Kindergarten She was born on April 7th, of the year 1995 in New York and is 30 years old She decided to join The Presentation School last year because the community seemed very inviting to her, and she loved all the kids who came to this school. She loves all the kids she teaches, and she mentioned that they make her laugh by saying funny things; some of her little students call her a grown-up kid, or tease her that she's too old But she definitely does not like it when her kids yell the “67” meme! Mrs B noted that if she weren't teaching TK or Kindergarten, she would want to teach 2nd or 3rd grade Mrs B spends her free time hanging out with friends or going to any beach that has water, but her dream vacation is to go on a European tour all around Europe All good things come to an end as we wrap up this issue's spotlight article
