Philanthropy
In less than a decade, under the leadership of Senior Vice President of Advancement and External Relations (SVP) Michael Rogers, the NVNA and Hospice Charitable Fund has grown from bake sales to a sophisticated and best-practice fundraising enterprise that includes a 30+ member board dedicated to fundraising and a vibrant eight-member staff committed to advancing NVNA and Hospiceʼs mission and case for support.
NVNA and Hospiceʼs comprehensive fundraising program includes major and planned giving, annual appeals, grants, memorial giving, and high-profile events such as “The 12”and “Bella Vita”annual gatherings. This year, “The 12”was attended by 520 guests on the sprawling grounds of the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham.
These well attended events have featured heart-warming testimonials, moving video presentations, and appearances by renowned artists and celebrities. When not focused on a capital campaign, annual giving averages $3 million raised from 4,000+ donations.
