Now that summer 2015 will soon be upon us, Europe is preparing to take its prized possessions out of the garage. So what should we look out for prior to the start of this longingly anticipated season? We at the RONAL GROUP have a clear opinion on this: Just as a man admires a worldly woman’s elegant footwear, Europe’s car enthusiasts should also be inspired by the beautiful RONAL and SPEEDLINE CORSE alloy wheels.

Our development unites design and technology at the highest level. Using state-of-the-art computer technology for construction and simulation, our engineers achieve superior quality. Strength calculations (FEA) and casting simulations help avoid time-consuming and costly corrections in the development process. All of the data, analyses and simulations are consistent from the first step to the finished wheel. In short: A more attractive or better wheel does not exist!

But colors? Luckily the RONAL GROUP looks at things differently and has launched the first colored alloy wheel ready for series production (MCR – Multi Color Rim). The MCR line boasts not just one but multiple colors – a new powder coating and

processing technology have made the unimaginable possible! Unlike conventional processes, the color is not applied by hand or with foils but rather by way of powder coating, just like standard paint. Just perfect for a colorful summer, don’t you think?

During the development of the RONAL Turbo wheel it never crossed anybody’s mind that it would become a cult classic one day. The wheel was actually developed in a very unconventional way for motor sports: In fact the go-ahead did not even come from management or the marketing department. It was more a case of a “secret project” designed in very limited free time. We owe our cult classic wheel to the initiative of Harald Ertl, the famous racing driver who won the DRM championship in 1978 driving a BMW 320 Turbo.

The Austrian driver worked his charm on RONAL’s then head of development until he came up with the threepiece RONAL Turbo wheel. This pioneering spirit garnered him enormous publicity at the time.

Today, 37 years after its market launch, it is less about the Ertl-Lotus cult and more about the RONAL R10.

With the R50 AERO wheel and the new, completely polished surfaces, the RONAL GROUP continues to consistently refine these wheels into a contemporary version of the cult classic for the 21st century.

The RONAL GROUP has been very successful with so-called flow forming technology, aiming to manufacture increasingly lighter aluminum alloy wheels. Using this special production technique, it is possible to reduce the volume in the wheel base by up to 50 percent.

The RONAL GROUP was once again represented at the major trade shows in 2014, delighting car enthusiasts and those interested in the hottest wheel highlights and innovations.

As of 1 November 2014 all new vehicle registrations in the EU and in Switzerland require tire pressure monitoring systems – both to increase driving safety and reduce CO² emissions. Safety is a priority for the RONAL GROUP so virtually all of the popular tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) are compatible with RONAL and SPEEDLINE CORSE wheels.

He did it! Norwegian Petter Solberg eked out the title early on in his Citroën DS3 on SPEEDLINE CORSE wheels.
