Event Management Press Events Trade Show Marketing

Directed had its genesis in 1980 starting in an after school program working in Brooklyn New York at the young age of 13. Our approach stems from my upbringing, instilled by my Dad Martin's teachings. He was born in 1901, (yes 1901) he taught me to perform a service better than anyone else and success would come. Following these principles; in 1980 is where my genesis began. My First job in the print world started with Sweeping Floors, then a Dark Room Tech, Bindery, Pressman, then becoming a Production Manager. I owe my success to my dad who lived to a ripe old age of 94! While in College I applied for a Production Manager position at Automation Graphics in NYC. Over the next 21 years my knowledge & experience expanded into leading this company's sales force; eventually becoming a partner in the business and then starting my own. In 2007 Directed started as a print brokerage, realizing that technology was changing the way we work forever & the equipment of 2003 - 2007 which many invested in would be obsolete by 2010. Knowing this I made our first investment in on-line technology automating the web to print process. During this time I partnered with The Lowe Martin Group out of Ottawa in business since 1908 headed by a third generation owner who had very similar dreams and aspirations to my own. In 2013 I decided to buy into a preexisting print facility here in NJ which allowed us to have local production and our business has grown. Directed provides an integrated communications platform between 3 facilities, providing end-to-end solutions tailored to fit the needs of our diverse client base. We specialize in Corporate Stationery, Publications, Marketing and Trans Promo for the Retail industries as well. We facilitate this with Commercial Sheet-Fed, Digital, Grand Format, Heat Set Web printing combined with full warehousing, logistics, distribution and e-business solutions. Ø Directed has 62 full time employees in our Englewood facility Ø Lowe Martin has 560 Full time Employees between Ottawa and Toronto Ø Directed in NJ has sales of $13,000,000 Dollars Annually

Strategy Directed Lowe-Martin’s New Jersey, Ottawa and Toronto facilities act as contingency sites for each other. We provide a offering a high degree of systems back-up through multiple production devices and locations. We also possess an on-site generator to ensure that in the event of an emergency, production schedules are maintained. Our facilities run at 85-90% of capacity, leaving room for taking on rush projects or to accommodate unforeseen delays in file receipt or proof approval. Our production facility operates 24 hours a day/6 days a week with an additional day shift on Sunday. With overtime and the option to add an extra shift on Sunday evenings, we are able to extend our productive capacity. The duplication of equipment also protects us in the event of equipment maintenance or down time – we have multiple options to continue carrying out the project. Many of our presses and finishing devices are interchangeable, providing exceptional contingency planning for any project. The Lowe Martin Group underwrites projects which exceed our capabilities allowing us to utilize their facility when the customer is better served. LMG sales are $100,000,000+ per year, providing us a true strategic partnership with 2 state of the art facilities in addition to local in NJ.
