Gujarat Board English Core Previous Year Question Paper Gujarat Board English Core Previous Year Question Paper English is an important subject in Class 10 and is compulsory for all. Candidates are required to answer all the questions in the paper as there are no options. Though some question are there which is having internal options. In the writing section students are given to complete a letter by selecting appropriate words or group of words given below the letter in bracket and have to rewrite the whole letter. In the short writing section clues are given on which students have to write short notes. In case of long writing tasks, some points are given. And using those points a student has to write paragraphs, reports etc. One having a good knowledge in grammar and technical skills can score well in the above paper. Below are attached some of the previous years question papers. Through different schools all over the India Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board conduct metric level examination. The class 10 board examinations are scheduled in the month of March. English is one of the languages papers which are compulsory for all the students. Pattern of the paper:The class 10 English paper of Gujarat Board is divided into 5 sections. The first two sections are about Reading Comprehension. In the third section short notes are given to write. This includes messages and report writing. Section D is about long writing tasks. Here paragraphs, letters are given to write on. Time allowed time for the examination is 3 hours.
Marks for different questions:- Total marks assigned for the paper is 100. Section A and B carries questions of 20 marks each. Section C and D carries 15 marks each. The last section carries 30 marks in total. Number of questions:- There are 74 questions in total and a candidate has to attempt all the questions though some are having internal choices. What can you expect in the paper? Section A is reading comprehension in which extract of a prose is given and section B is also reading comprehension in which part of poems, supplementary reading and unseen texts are given and students are asked to answer some question on it.
