USA boarding schools combine rigorous academics with outstanding arts, athletics, and leadership opportunities.

ELIGIBILITY

The Classic J-1 High School Program, offered through Educatius’ not-for-profit partners, gives international students the chance to immerse themselves in American life. Exchange students live with volunteer host families and attend local high schools for a semester or academic year, experiencing authentic culture and community life.

Country: Scotland Program: Classic Why choose Scotland’s Classic Exchange Program?

1. A flexible education system. Students in Scotland choose 4–6 subjects depending on their year group, with a wide variety of options available. Subjects can be studied at different levels within the same class year, so international students can find the right academic fit.

Unlike in England, students as young as 14 are accepted, opening the program to younger learners.

2. Authentic community immersion. Scottish schools are closely tied to their communities, often sharing facilities like leisure centers or community halls. Schools host regular events in sports, music, and performing arts that bring local residents together. With overwhelmingly Scottish classmates and typically fewer than 10–15 international students per school, students enjoy a true immersion experience.

3. C lose to Edinburgh. Our placement area is just 30 minutes by public transport from Scotland’s capital city.

At Educatius, our mission goes far beyond the classroom.

We believe in the power of education to transform lives—not just for the exchange students we serve, but for the communities we touch and the future we’re building together.

Access to education.

Through our non-profit initiative Aiducatius, we support schools in underserved areas of Africa with essentials like teacher salaries, meals, school supplies, and uniforms. Every international student who joins our programs contributes to this work—extending the gift of education to others. This hands-on aid ensures sustainable education, benefiting not just students but their families and communities.

Climate-conscious exchange.

We’ve been planting trees in Tanzania since 2009 to offset the environmental impact of international travel. Our efforts have supported hundreds of thousands of trees and improved local ecosystems for over 60,000 youth. Environmental and economic sustainability go hand in hand.
