The Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design is a 2 year program, leading to the award of an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design.

The course covers all aspects of design and manufacture including: fashion, textiles and leathers, jewellery and metals, paper and printing. The aims are to provide students with a thorough understanding of the skills required in the industry and through this knowledge they will be able to build their own careers as designers or entrepreneurs. The course also aims at providing graduates with an awareness of issues surrounding sustainability within the fashion industry. The curriculum includes some work placements which give students experience working in different sectors within the industry.

Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design (2 years) 2023 The Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design is a two-year postgraduate diploma program developed for students who wish to deepen their knowledge and expertise in the field of fashion design. The course consists of three semesters, each with an objective to train students to meet the needs of the industry.

The first semester focuses on the history of fashion, materials and techniques used in designing clothes, as well as research methods and how they are applied in making fashion designs. The

second semester aims to develop skills required by fashion designers such as pattern cutting, sewing techniques and construction techniques. The third semester will focus on developing student’s knowledge in garment production processes such as dyeing, printing and finishing methods.

The program also includes practical training sessions where students will be encouraged to make their own garments using fabrics provided by the institute.
