Housing Plan providing the urban planning for the non-urbanized. The document establishes wich houses are protected by architectural, historical and landscape reasons, and wides the urbanistic use of them. Each scheduled house is filed, pictured, measured and drawn.

The plot of an old - non used camping is reconverted in an urban area for housing. An urban project becomes a landscape one. The houses are placed saving the maximum of the existent trees and letting the green corridors to fill the space.The houses distribution primes for the open spaces: in the ground floor the common areas and in the first floor the rooms, prevailing the views for the coast.

The plan is established with the study of the different neighborhoods, the state of the buildings, the budget of the council, the demographic data.. The good solution remained in the allocation and the restoration of the existent pieces instead of the creation of new ones.

This masterplan is, for the future 25 years, the urban tool for a region in the north of Catalunya. Including Heritage and systems cryteria, and due to the size of towns and population, primes for a gentle and slowly upgrowth, taking into acount their landscape characteristics.

Design of a multipurpose public building according to the pattern proposed before. The different spaces are connected and settled up with the cryteria, function and shape achieved with the studies. This is the first of multiple equipment designed with that system.

The record starts with the analysis of the public space’s state and its functionality. Then, there is the neighborhood and population review. After that, due to the needs, two proposals are made. In one, all the spaces are mixed, letting the pedestrians to cross diagonally.

On the other, the public space is organized horizontally in two sides, one for sports, the other one for the rest of the activities.

L’estudi s’inscriu en la línia de treball que el Sector d’Urbanisme i Infraestructures de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona està duent a terme en relació als nuclis antics del pla de Barcelona. L'objectiu de l’estudi urbanístic és realitzar una diagnosi de la problemàtica específica del casc antic del barri d’Horta que permeti definir les estratègies d’intervenció més adients de cara a mantenir i potenciar el seu caràcter.

El teixit del casc antic del barri d’Horta és el resultat de la superposició dels traçats naturals de les rieres i les plataformes topogràfiques amb els models de creixement corresponents a les diferents etapes de formació del nucli, configurant àmbits que conserven les característiques especials dels teixits tradicionals, àmbits dominats per les discontinuïtats (on es barregen parcel·les amb edificació tradicional i parcel·les edificades intensament amb models plurifamiliars, anys 50-70) i àmbits d’altíssima densificació que no conserven teixits tradicionals.

Design and execution for a versatile room distribution. The building needs establishes the possibility of having 1, 2, 3 or 4 people in each room. The proposal establishes a patron, a technical solution due to size, settlement and mechanical cryteria.

The fact of a neglected heritage building (Casa FoixĂ XIV cent.), and its restoration, gave the opportunity for a complete urban development in my Old (home) Town. On one hand, the new volumes are placed to complete the library building and finish the quartier. On the other hand, the opening of a walled arch empowers the pedestrians to use an abandoned high-patio, turning that into a new public space for the downtown. Finally, the entrance from the street through a patio, breaths the saturated neighborhood.

The library runs throughout the forecourt of the heritage building and the medieval stairs of it. The building becomes a path through both historical and contemporary architecture, where the light is the main target, achieved with skylights and light wells.

The main target of the building is to set in order the plot where it has to be built. The project is an opportunity, not just for the architecture, but for an urban renovation of the area. Firstly, with the high volume, the health centre becomes part of the urban facade and faces the main promenade. Secondly, with the second volume, it follows the neighborhood beside, finishing it. On third place, the building opens a street, letting the pedestrians to arrive to the public space. Finally, the building itself becomes part of the public space with the creation of a patio-corridor.

The program is set with both use and function cryteria, placing the emergency, reception and workers services in the ground floor. The rest of the program is located in the rest of the different floors.

The issue of working in a boundedless plot with no surrounding elements to hold the project on them, gave the opportunity and the freedom to be the program of the building the one that made the shape of it.

On one hand, the building had to guarantee the security of the children; on the other hand, it had to be kind with them. The process started with the idea of a closed house, with an interior patio. However the volume was broken creating different boxes for each program.

Finally, the different grade of privacity (reception-hospital, school, menza & dorm) settled the final shape.

Facing a Long-shaped, high-sloped plot, the house is divided in little pavilions creating a topography of patios for each volume. The project is set up according privacity and functionallity cryteria. Firstly, the highest part is for the common spaces and commands the group. Secondly, the rooms of the house slide down to conquer all the exterior space. Finally, the atelier-studio for the writer is placed in a hidden gap for having the most intimacy of the house.

The house is a game of lights and shadows full of grateful spaces semi-interior, semi-exterior. This spaces are questionless in a clime like the Mediterranean and they turn to be the most comfortable for the living.

This subject aim is to engage in theoretical and experimental research in the field of the investigation of the behaviour of concrete and masonry structures, research of cement-based composite materials, fibre concrete, properties of early-aged concrete, reinforced masonry and pre-stressed concrete structures, fire safety design and applications of research achievements in practical design projects.

CONSTRUCTION PROCESSES-COURSE IN CZECH TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY/2010

The courses aim to provide students with new information and basic knowledge in the technology of construction processes, mechanization of the construction industry, theory of pre-production and production site preparation, time scheduling, design of construction site equipment, operative management of construction works, and the use of information technology in these activities.

This project is the development of the river front in Prague, and it’s promenade. The projection of an office tower commands the group, and becomes the torsion point to connect a forgotten area of the city with a new commercial and leisure sector. The design of the tower, steel and glass, reminds the idea of a lantern. The building becomes the lantern of the Old city of Prague’s entrance.

Like Alvaro Siza in Quinta da Malagueira, the houses are set for working as independent elements, but on the other hand, they become part of a common quartier. The spaces of the house are well differentiated: on the ground floor, the living room and one room face the patio, leaving the services for the sides. On the first floor, the rooms are set due to light, importance and functionality cryteria.

For the 6 social houses the design is simple and efficient, one single sace for the living room and the kitchen and two rooms. For the other houses, is proposed one building triplex-shaped, facing the interior patio of the complex and having some space for leisure in the ground floor. The building tries to calmly be set next to the heritage one, letting it to be the main actor in stage, following it’s lines & form.
