For more than a decade, EdTrust-Midwest has built a movement for educational justice, securing transformative policy wins for Black and Latino/students and students from low-income backgrounds. The report showcases a decade-plus of wins and efforts by the non-partisan, data-driven non-profit to close the gaps in opportunity and achievement that disproportionately impact students who are the most underserved. With a particular focus on Black, Latino and students from low-income backgrounds, the report provides a deep dive into the organization’s long-standing work to advance the development and implementation of policies and practices that improve the educational outcomes for Michigan’s students.
