The Woodward County Toy Giveaway truly engages the entire community to come together to provide gifts for needy children. This year 508 childern received gifts and close to 100 volunteers showed up for the event to make sure that these families had Christmas toys that were wrapped upon request and a holiday meal. Civic clubs and organizations, businesses, schools, churches, individuals and local government agencies all made this possible through generous contributions of time, money and toys. What began 35 years ago with a pickup loaded with used toys has become an opportunity for childern in poverty all over the county to recieve new toys at Christmas.
