AMINUR RAHMAN was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 1966 and graduated with an M-PHARM[acy] degree. He published six volumes of poetry in Bangla. His poems have been translated in more than twenty-five languages. He also published poetry books in English (4), Spanish (3), German, Japanese, Mongolian, Arabic, Chinese, Bahasa Malay and Russian. He is a renowned writer and art critic and has three prose books in his credit. As an accomplished translator, he translated ten books of poetry and edited several poetry magazines and books including SAARC Anthology of poems and short stories. As an invited author, Aminur Rahman read his work world-wide at international arts & literary festivals, universities and cultural venues. He represented Bangladesh at numerous Poetry Festivals in Colombia, India, Iraq, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Sri Lanka, Spain, among others.

He was awarded in Mongolia: Chinggish Khaan Gold Medal 2006, Heaven Horse Award 2015; in Malaysia: Numera World Award of Letters 2016; and in Taiwan: Contribution Award for International Poetry 2016. Er erlangte den Titel eines Magisters der Pharmazie.

Er veröffentlichte sechs Lyrikbände in Bengalisch. Seine Gedichte wurden in mehr als 25 Sprachen übersetzt. Zudem publizierte er Einzeltitel auf Englisch (4), Spanisch (3), Deutsch, Japanisch, Mongolisch, Arabisch, Chinesisch, Malaysisch und Russisch. Der renommierte Autor und Kunstkritiker kann auf drei Prosabände verweisen. Als erfahrener Übersetzer übertrug er zehn Gedichtbände, war Herausgeber mehrerer Lyrik-Magazine und Bücher, einschließlich der SAARC-Anthologie mit Gedichten und Kurzgeschichten. Aminur Rahman war Gast bei internationalen Kunst-und Literatur festivals, Universitäten und kulturellen Tagungen. Er repräsentierte Bangladesch bei zahlreichen Poesie festivals, u.a. in Kolumbien, Indien, im Irak, in Japan, Malaysia, in der Mongolei, in Nicaragua, Sri Lanka und Spanien.
