Most Popular majors Education Edgewood College was founded as a school for teachers—we’ve been preparing caring, dedicated educators for over 80 years. In-classroom experiences begin as early as the sophomore year, allowing you to develop confidence and expertise through direct experience.

Business The School of Business offers a wide range of concentrations and majors such as Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Computer Information Systems and Business Teaching. These allow you to specialize in an area of interest while acquiring a foundation in the liberal arts and a broad knowledge of the business world.

Nursing A

Our 7:1 student-to-faculty ratio and access to state-of-the-art clinical facilities have shaped the strong reputation of Edgewood College’s Nursing Program. Edgewood College has recently partnered with Meriter Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital to create the Center for Nursing Excellence which features the latest in nursing equipment and technology.

Art Therapy Art Therapy is a profession that engages people in the creative process as a way to bring about change, growth, and healing. Art Therapists practice in a wide range of settings with people of all ages and backgrounds. Students take courses in art therapy, studio art and psychology in a hands-on environment.

Child Life Child Life Specialists provide academic and emotional support for children and their families during extended hospital stays and other life-changing health-care related events.

Individualized Majors You are able to customize a major by taking classes in areas of study that interest you and combine them into a program that meets your needs.

• You will experience an integrated, Dominican-inspired curriculum which will prepare you to connect your learning, beliefs and actions.

• You will have the opportunity to work on independent research projects with faculty members.

• An academic advisor will work with you to develop your 4-year academic plan and help you schedule your classes every semester.

• Unique classes are offered through our Honors Program and academic success is recognized through our Dean’s List.

• Through study-abroad and service-oriented trips, you will gain global perspectives.

D. Sayeeda Mamoon, PhD, associate professor of French, speaks several languages and has travelled extensively around the world; she has also published and presented research at many universities worldwide.
