Accepting our humanness From the Editor

by Tim Miejan Whenever I speak with Christine Day, a spiritual leader and ambassador for the galactic community known as the Pleiadians, something she always mentions resonates so deeply with me: that we need to honor and celebrate our humanness. In her November column (find it online at www.Edgemagazine.net this month due to her featured interview in this issue), she writes, “Open into a state of selfacceptance of all that you are in your humanness.” In my interview with her, Christine pauses a beat, clears her throat, and says, “Really, it makes me emotional even talking about it, but the most key thing (the Pleiadians) are asking is that we learn to accept and love our humanness. Yes, our enlightenment process is coming, but now it’s about accepting our own imperfection as a human being, and through that we come back to a place of self-love and understand the journey more — that we have come here just to have a series of experiences to learn from and that we need not do it all perfectly.” We need not do it all perfectly. Let that resonate within you for a moment. I cannot speak for anyone else; all I can do is share my own perspective. I do try to focus on my existence from a “soul” perspective — that I am, in truth, an immortal soul temporarily residing in this spacesuit called the human body, just like all of us are, and when I open my eyes, I see you as you truly are, THE EDGE MAGAZINE 763.433.9291 P.O. another immortal soul looking back at me from the same place. I think about this while walking through the grocery store, staring at the frozen food shelves and wondering which product to put in my shopping cart, and then you walk by and I look into your eyes and I remember that we are unlimited beings of energy bound here in a dimension that forces us to take one step at a time. I confess that a part of me is frequently frustrated with all that appears to me in my waking moments, because it does not adequately reflect the unspeakable beauty of Spirit that I know always overshadows our limited human perception of reality. That frustration is what leaves me personally saddened when my human experience doesn’t live up to what I imagined my life would be like. Perhaps you, too. That frustration also is what drives people to march arm-inarm against injustices and decry poverty and support refugees and create art to inspire more peace, love and understanding in the world. So much effort is expended to make things right, to transform the mundane into the sacred, to expel all that is not right in the world. And I think Christine Day is telling us this: let go of that effort to make our human world anything other than it is. She tells us that many souls on this planet still have elementary lessons to learn about how to exist in society without killing each other, and that those who have chosen that experience for themselves, as perpetrator or victim, do not need to be

saved by us. She also tells us that planet Earth is undergoing its own metamorphosis, and that when the timing is right, it is quite prepared to reboot itself and restore its primitive beauty — and it doesn’t need to be saved by us. And as hard as it might be to accept, Christine is telling us that we all come into body with personal challenges that we came to experience, and that it is not my place, or your place, to judge whether or not someone else experiences what they came here to experience. And yet we still care deeply. It seems she, and the Pleiadians, echo the wisdom of other spiritual leaders who remind us that planet Earth is a place that souls choose for incarnation because we can experience things here that we cannot in any other dimension — and we are just playing temporary roles that we have mutually chosen. It’s like we all choose to be in a play, and once the show is over (death), we return to the wardrobe room and begin chatting with fellow souls about how the show went and how we may want to do things differently in the next performance. As easy as it is for my soul to comprehend that, my mind still hurts for the oppressed and finds many things on this planet hard to digest. Does knowing that pain and suffering are only an illusion make it any easier? I sense that this is just another lesson on planet Earth. a Tim Miejan is editor and co-publisher of The Edge. Letting Go November horoscope by Deanna Reiter When I moved from Los Angeles County to Minneapolis, all of my belongings fit into one car. So I’m amazed that 14 years later, I’ve been able to fill dozens of boxes with items that aren’t serving me any longer and get them to better homes. I’m fascinated that there is still so much more to clear in my home.   My friend, Mary, is a professional organizer who has also recently downsized her belongings. She has gone through round after round of releasing things that weren’t serving her to the full capacity and moved into a beautiful tiny house. And even after living in her tiny house for four weeks, she’s decided to let go of some more precious items in her life; the most recent purge left her shedding not only her possessions, but several tears, as well.   Her belongings are fairly minimal now — even before this last round of letting go — so if she was struggling to the point of crying, I wondered why was she forcing herself to get rid of even more?   “Because I know deep down the items don’t really matter,” she said. “It’s all about the emotion.” The items in our lives carry with them underlying emotions and symbolism. There’s desire. The pursuit. The acquisition. Joy. Security. Beauty. Fulfillment. Memories.   And finally, the release (if we outlive the item) and mourning.   Every item carries within itself a story and fulfills some need. And most of us get swept up in it.   Again.   And again.   And again.   Mary has helped people through this process for years.   The common denominator for everyone she’s worked with is a feeling of overwhelm.   No doubt, we can all identify with that. Whether we feel overwhelmed from too many things or overwhelmed by people, situations, jobs, memories, stories, roles or labels, we deal with a lot in our external reality, much of which isn’t serving us.   And even though we’re overwhelmed, it’s difficult to let go.   Fear is the main aspect that keeps us stuck. Whether it’s fear of letting go of an item that we think we’ll need again someday or fear of letting go of   see LETTING GO on p. 10

Diving deeper Mercurial Messages through the Zodiac

by Heather Roan Robbins We don’t want shallow answers as November begins — we want to understand hidden secrets and soul mysteries as the Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, trine intuitive Neptune and call us deeper. This lineup supports meditation, imagination and divination, but it can leave us confused about the truth and other people’s determined motivation, right through voting day. So reel in projections and fact-check all rumors. Look for strong women and the collective Anima working to create change as Venus trines eccentric Uranus around November 5. Mars enters collective Aquarius on voting day and encourages us to care about our community. A new determination to get information and get to work flows in as Venus enters Capricorn November 11 and Mercury enters Sagittarius November 12. On November 15-22, confusion wafts in as Mercury squares Neptune; while it’s for spiritual practice and creative process, we can’t see farther ahead at the moment and may have to reevaluate our plans. Thanksgiving takes us back to our tender hearts as Venus conjuncts Pluto. Include strays around your table and bring emotional depth to your feast. Feel the exciting winds of change stirring towards the end of the month as Mercury and Venus aspect change-master Uranus. Aries (Mar. 21-Apr. 19)…Notice mysterious

fragments of unusual psychic awareness, but fact-check your insights before jumping to conclusions. Find creative ways to manage tension or competing desires in your team or community after November 8. Recent work frustrations begin to relax as new information arrives around November 15, but be patient about implementing changes. Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)…Expect the unex-

pected this month; look for fresh people or opportunities the first week of November, and again the last week, as your ruling planet, Venus, first trines, then squares, Uranus. Step forward steadily but with flexibility, mid-month through Thanksgiving as plans continually shift around you. Gemini (May 21-June 20)…The first week can

be uncomfortable, jittery with other people’s tension; let their circus flow by and stick to what you can actually change. The atmosphere works better for you after November

9, though you may have to work to stay on task. Be open to challenging ideas that stretched you mid-month. Behave through Thanksgiving and life opens up the week after. Cancer (June 21-July 22)…Prioritize family,

whether chosen or biological, but don’t get too attached to a specific response from them. It’s easy to feel disappointed that they don’t love back in the specific form you’re looking for, particularly through midmonth’s misunderstandings. Open your aperture and see love given in their language. Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)…Politics may not be

your favorite thing, but you can get caught in the crossfire of other people’s stubborn opinions. You don’t have to engage or avoid the conflict, just witness and love all the people involved. When others relax around Thanksgiving, you may need to wrangle important information and decisions. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)…You’re standing at a crossroads, juggling people, information and possibilities coming in many directions. Stay centered and prioritize your efforts based on long-term goals. Reconnect to the heart mid-November, and stayed centered during an emotional roller coaster through Thanksgiving. Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)…Pay attention; create a sustainable ecology out of your material resources and you will feel freer to follow your inner light. Responsibilities to friends, siblings and neighbors need to be followed up this month but can bring moments of joy. Look for creative collaboration after Thanksgiving. Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)…Whether to be seen or to stay hidden is always one of your dilemmas; as November begins you may hide your private feelings behind an unusually public face. People are watching your public persona; you can make a difference in your surroundings. Sidestep tension around siblings and home life, it will not further. Add kindness to your direct honesty throughout the Thanksgiving holiday. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)…Enjoy funny and loving moments hidden in the work this month. Look for ways to share humor, heart and truthful support. Use an opening to help create a breakthrough. Let Thanksgiving weekend bring deep questions within the

family, with meditations on purpose and gratitude. Capricorn

(Dec.

22-Jan.19)…

Stay on track and organized, and don’t let yourself be sidetracked by other people’s circus through November 8. Creative process can reconnect you with heart and path mid-month; let sacred time soften the soul through the end of the month. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)… Roll through a potentially uncomfortable first week, then look for an opportunity to take

leadership or make overtures through mid-November. Stay diplomatic even when others don’t. Old friends support you if you reinvest in the relationship.

Pisces

(Feb.

19-Mar.

20)…

Protect yourself around other people’s stormy moods the first week of November. You come alive mid-month when everybody else is feeling confused; use your intuition and compassion to help others accept the moment and adjust their plans. Thanksgiving will be emotionally complex, with positive changes following. a Heather Roan Robbins is a heartcentered and choice-oriented astrologer, palmist and ceremonialist with 30+ years’ experience. LETTING GO continued from p. 8

our bottled-up emotions, the fear holds us at status quo — even if the status quo is not ideal. According to the Buddhist tradition, the idea of attachment keeps us in the illusion that we are separate and need external things to make us happy and fulfilled. Much of our lives are spent in the pursuit of this external happiness.   On the opposite side of attachment is unity.   When we are unified with the whole universe, the idea of attaching to something seems ridiculous because nothing is outside of ourselves.   When we are able to let go of whatever isn’t serving us, we find it can be extremely liberating. Letting go helps us move forward in our lives, less encumbered with renewed energy that enables us to attract what it is we really want. It gives us more room to breathe.   This is one of the main outcomes of many holistic healing modalities that allow us to release what isn’t serving us so that we can move forward lighter and freer and step into the most wonderful life imaginable. It’s one of the quickest and most thorough purging processes available to us. By letting the ego and all the fear it carries with it take a backseat, we are able to sink into a depth where it is easy to connect and unify with the whole universe. And we can connect to the unity and happiness that is our birthright.   And we can get swept up in that beauty.   Again.   And again.   And again. a Deanna Reiter, M.A., is a breathing coach who helps people expand their breath, increase their energy and heal from trauma. The Dark Side of… being Full of Light by Robin Lee Stay strong You brilliant Compass You are Guiding yourself Home. There’s a point at which you begin to feel like the enormity of things is so unbelievable, you wonder how you’d ever been walking around at all, with your eyes held so tightly. Slivers, before. How on Earth did the light get in? How did you ever arrive where you are? Perhaps, in being led towards the heat. The practice of developing any kind of spiritual practice, anything that brings you greater awareness of yourself and your relationship to the world around you, is a process of stepping into a fire and allowing the flames to eat you whole. It is not gentle. Often, it even seems unkind. There is rage, there is fear, there is fury. There are days when you may feel unable to move or, sometimes, breathe. In these moments, one can’t help but fathom how there is anything left to do but let go. And that’s exactly when it begins. It’s a beautiful thing to see spirituality flooding into the media en masse. Great spiritual teachers and seekers are rising up in profound, modernized and thoroughly authentic ways. For so many of us, seeing these lighthouses appear is a welcome sign from our seemingly

endless days at sea. We are often brought to creating our own spiritual practice, whatever that may look like, by a period of inner and outer turmoil so unbearable we believe we are being torn very slowly into fragments. Part of this is true; we are being torn, to be fed to the fire. Part of this is not true — it’s not unbearable, because we only receive that which we need to grow and expand. The contrast is that in our seeking, we believe we have found wholeness. As if it was outside of us all along. The answer. We think, great, I can meditate and have conscious sex and drink green juice and I will slowly diminish my experience of negativity and pain. I will forget about my secret impulse to selfdestruct. I will forget about my insecurity. I will disregard the truth about my identity. Forgetting things doesn’t make them disappear. Pretending to not feel doesn’t mean you can’t. Someday, you will, and you will feel everything. It will not stop. It will not cease coming, it will only grow in intensity, and it will beckon you to the edges of your sanity. And that’s exactly when it begins. After an initial period of flocking to the light like a moth on a warm summer evening, we tend to realize that no matter how venerable our guru or preferred practice has been, much of this path is to be walked alone. When we fail to realize this, we are often cata-

pulted into situations that isolate us, exactly for this reason. Life won’t baby us. She’ll demand that we show up. The process of being led to the light, of waking up as so many of us like to say, is not simply becoming more luminous. I’d love to see that idea detonate. It is also the process of getting very intimate with the dark, ravenous, insatiable heaviness inside of you. Freud’s death drive. The Kali aspect of your Shakti. The brink of your humanity that wishes to experience it’s temporality in all ways — blissful and devastating. The more we practice, the more we realize that the more we let the light in, the more the darkness will arrive, exist and grow to bring contrast. Denying it causes a lot of mania. Underneath a façade of purity, there is always a deeper story. The whole point is to experience balance, and we can’t get there by sweeping our old stories under the rug. They have to be transmuted. Alchemized. Used as kindling. The darkness. We have to look at it. When we continually push it away, judge it or believe it to not be aligned with our path (often read: who we think we are) it only grows in power and presence. A real-life example for me was reconciling my sexual energy with my yogic dedication. In retrospect, it’s hilarious to me that I ever believed I would subdue a part of myself that is not only not dark but also entirely yogic. And also, a core part of me. I let go. And that’s exactly when it began. There is a long history of study of the shadow self. This subject often gets a lot of flak, and likely because people want to focus on the positive aspects of growth. Can’t blame them. What happens when we ignore the parts of us that we are afraid to look at is that we become slaves to that master. We hide a secret that we think no one can see. They can. It grows and grows, and becomes fear, guilt, shame, terror, anxiety. The pangs of which you may not wish on your worst enemy. I have this vision often, when I am facing something truly terrifying, of being just above water, and consciously, making the choice to submerge. Dark, choppy, ocean. An adventure to the depths. It guides me in these instances. I remember how small whatever I’m up against is in contrast to the vastness of my life. I remember that my darkness intrigues me, because I allow it to. I want to know myself fully. I want to love every corner. I want to meet people who love every corner. You can sort of sense it, when you meet someone authentic. They’re tapped into this. They’re unafraid of being a hot mess. Of being too much. Of having a vulnerability hangover. They really don’t give a fuck, because they recognize that darkness is part of being human, and they are okay with baring their humanity to the world. In a society focused on continual upward mobility, it’s no surprise that so much success is built on artifice and lack of depth. The more we reject the notion that it is okay to have darkness, and that these parts of us are not less likable, lovable or spiritual — in fact, they make us more so — the more we venture down the path of being half-human. The darkness is real, it’s not going away, but once you look at it, it becomes something else: the canvas upon which the cosmos are born. Choosing to be half-human means denying yourself the possibility of exploring the furthest reaches of the universe. I’m not sure about you, but I came here to be full-human. And that’s exactly where it begins. a Robin Lee is a writer, healer, mentor, yogi, heart-centered hellraiser, and tremendously passionate being. How to get paid for your creations From the Heart

by Alan Cohen Meryl Streep is considered by many to be the world’s greatest living actress. To date she has garnered 306 Best or Supporting Actress nominations and 158 wins, including three Academy Awards and eight Golden Globes. Her first Oscar came in 1979 for her Best Supporting Actress role in Kramer vs. Kramer. During the awards ceremony, Streep went to the ladies’ room and forgetfully left the coveted gold statue on the toilet seat. For her, acting was the real gold. The trophy it led to was an afterthought. Truly creative people are more interested in the process of creating than its side effects. They do not create in order to get something else. The joy of creating is reward enough in itself. Awards and accolades are not the goal; they are the byproducts of the goal. To dwell in the sacred state of creation is heaven; trying to manage the results is hell. Never deny or withhold your creative gifts. They will pay off first in spirit, and then in the world. To launch out When you know you deserve to be paid for your creative gifts and service, you will be. Karen Drucker is a talented career musician who grew weary of playing for corporate conferences, weddings and bar mitzvahs. After many years of performing pop tunes, she longed to launch out on her own, write original songs on uplifting themes, and perform for people who were actually listening. So Karen decided to take a leap of faith and establish a career as a recording and concert artist for audiences attracted to music that nourishes the spirit. Initially, Karen’s venture was shaky. It wasn’t easy to establish a new career in a field less popular than mass music. She got a few gigs, but there was more space

between them than she had hoped, and the income was meager. One day Karen found a musician’s magazine she wanted to subscribe to. On the subscription page she found two rates offered: (1) Regular, and (2) a discounted rate called Starving Artist. Karen started to check the Starving Artist box, but then caught herself. Wait a minute, she thought. Do I really want to affirm that I am a starving artist? Karen’s training in new thought had taught her that she would become whatever she thought about herself, and especially how she described herself. She did not want to identify herself as a starving artist who could not afford the regular subscription rate. So she took another leap of faith, checked the Regular box, and paid the higher fee. Within a few days Karen received a wealth of invitations to perform, and checks in the mail. Her affirmation of herself as a successful artist became a reality. When she purposely checked the box that represented her ideal self rather than her feared self, that is the person she became. Karen went on to become an extremely successful performer for new thought audiences, traveling around the world, earning an excellent income, and receiving awards for her original music. Now she is a well-fed artist.

just enjoy life It is very common for artists of all kinds to think and speak of themselves as starving artists. They do not realize the great disservice they do to themselves and their peers by affirming this lackful condition. Belief systems are reinforced by the spoken word and by agreement. What you call yourself, you become. Take care — great care — to never define yourself or your condition as less than you would like it to be. Always speak of yourself and your work in terms of the ideal conditions you wish to create, and they will follow.

There are many ways you can and will be paid for your creativity, some that go far beyond money. At age 61, Andy Mackie had gone through nine heart surgeries and was taking 15 medications. He was tired of the surgeries, medications and side effects. So he decided to just enjoy his life even if his time was short. He quit taking the medications, took the $600 per month he was spending on the pills, bought 300 harmonicas, went into schools to teach children how to play them, and waited to die. When he didn’t die, he did the same thing the next month, and the next. He forgot about dying and started to live. Andy went on like this for years, using his social security checks to purchase more and more musical instruments, including guitars and drumsticks. Ten years later Mackie was still alive and had used his money previously devoted to medicine to purchase over 20,000 harmonicas and 5,500 music sticks. When he finally left this world, even though his physical heart was worn out, his spiritual heart was fully alive. Creativity brings life and rewards you on all levels. You can assess your mental and emotional health by the degree of creativity in which you are engaged. Are you expanding and growing? Are you launching into uncharted territory? Do you welcome challenge and change as opportunities to advance? Be true to your creativity, and life will take care of you in wondrous and miraculous ways. a Alan Cohen is the author the bestselling A Course in Miracles Made Easy: Mastering the Journey from Fear to Love. A Frittata to relish all day long Food First

by Nutrition Julie I love breakfast foods and enjoy them at any time of the day! This frittata recipe works great as a breakfast, brunch or paired alongside a green salad at dinnertime. Frittata recipes are great in that you can add or substitute ingredients to match the way in which you like to eat. For example, if you do not eat meat, simply replace it with a vegetarian option. The other thing I love about Frittatas is that although they are traditionally Italian, your choice of ingredients can give them the flavor of whatever country you wish. I made this Irish-style Frittata last weekend and it was instantly all gone! Enjoy! IRISH FRITTATA 1 pound boiling potatoes, cubed around 1/2 “ (I prefer red, round potatoes for this recipe) 1 T Olive Oil 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1/2 yellow pepper, finely chopped 1/2 orange pepper, finely chopped 8 eggs, whisked Himalayan Salt and Pepper to taste 3/4 cup corned beef, chopped into small pieces 1/2 cup Swiss cheese or white cheddar grated 1. Steam the diced potatoes until tender, about 8-10 minutes, set aside. Steaming will save you from having to use too much oil in the cooking process. 2. Select a medium sized, non-stick, heavy pan that can go from the stove top to the oven. I used a 10” Saladmaster pan, but cast iron would work just as great. 3. Heat the 1 T. Olive Oil in the pan over medium-high heat. 4. Sauté the onions and peppers until tender

but not browned, about 5 minutes. 5. Add the steamed potatoes to the onion and peppers and toss them around gently so they don’t break apart. Cook an additional 5-8 minutes until potatoes are heated through. Season with salt and pepper as this mixture is cooking. 6. Leave mixture in the pan, but spread evenly in preparation for the eggs. 7. In a bowl, whisk the 8 eggs together and pour over the potato, onion and pepper mixture. 8. As soon as the frittata bottom has set, turn heat to low and cover. Cook about 10 minutes. 9. Meanwhile, heat the broiler. Uncover the frittata, sprinkle on the cheese and place under the broiler for a couple of minutes to set the top of the frittata and melt the cheese. Watch closely as cooking under the broiler happens quickly! 10. Remove from oven, cool slightly and cut into wedges. Our Planetary Awakening A conversation with Christine Day A preview of the November 3-Day Pleiadian Seminar by Tim Miejan Editor’s note: This interview has been edited for print. Read the complete conversation at www. Edgemagazine.net

Described as an empowering, lifealtering event, the upcoming three-day Pleiadian Seminar called Higher Realm Initiations will take place November 11-13 at Crown Plaza Hotel Aire in Bloomington, MN, and Pleiadian Ambassador Christine Day will lead participants in experiences designed to support humanity’s spiritual evolution during these changing times. Day, a monthly columnist for The Edge, says the Higher Realm Initiations event is “an incredibly powerful seminar that is going to birth a new blueprint through the people who will be there.” “This blueprint is called the energetic mirror of their destiny for themselves at this time, so they can align and open up in a whole new way,” she says. “It brings the physical renewal to the cells. It opens up a new natural realignment to the intuitive aspect of your highest self. It allows you to begin to feel the light of the Self; that purity, that love, that intuition, moving through you and it allows those who are ready to react their ability to open into their creation energy. “There is a lot happening within this blueprint, and it is coming to the seminar for every individual. They will receive their new blueprint to this time that will align them to their destiny path and they will go through an evolution within that with the energies of Mother Mary, because she is very involved with the activation of the new blueprint energy.” The Seminar takes place from 1-6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 12-13. It is preceded by a 90-minute Transmission of Light event with Christine Day at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. In a Transmission, Christine channels a message from the Pleiadians, which is guided and relevant to the moment. The cost for the Transmission of Light is $28. Read Christine Day’s November column, A Pleiadian Message, beginning November 1 at www.Edgemagazine.net. Christine Day spoke with The Edge about the upcoming seminar and on how the Pleiadians view what is taking place on Earth at this time. Christine, for those who do not know you, please remind us who the Pleiadians are how you came to be connected with them as their ambassador. Christine Day: The Pleiadians are here on

the planet at this time to support us in our transition. They come from the star system known as the Seven Sisters, and they are at this time living out their own incarnations. Many people think they are in spirit form, but they’re not. They exist as a civilization in the fifth/sixth dimensional evolution, which is unconditional love, so they hold a much higher frequency of evolution than we do here on the planet at this time, and they are here to really bring the knowledge, the understanding, and initiations for us to align back to our own personal power. They are very much part of our evolution right now, and I think one of the most common questions people ask, “What is in it for the Pleiadians? Why are they supporting us in this way?” The best answer is that they will benefit from our evolution, just as the whole universe will. As we evolve and come into a deeper understanding of our grandness, our sacred nature, then we

become more connected into the universal community as a group, and we need to return to that whole God Consciousness state. My role with the Pleiadians has been a profound journey of 24 years. Prior to meeting them, I had not believed in space ships or aliens, but I turned a corner in nature and they appeared before me and reminded me of my Pleiadian heritage and my mission this lifetime. They reminded me of what my role was here, to be on this planet and to act as an ambassador to the Pleiadians, to bring awareness to people of their existence and to channel through their knowledge and the understanding at this time so we can evolve as a human race. Really, it makes me emotional even talking about it, but the most key thing they are asking is that we learn to accept and love our humanness. Yes, our enlightenment process is coming, but now it’s about accepting our own imperfection as a human being, and through that we come back to a place of self-love and understand the journey more — that we have come here just to have a series of experiences to learn from and that we need not do it all perfectly. That is a very, very powerful and valuable process that they are bringing to us at this time, as well as the very high frequencies of initiations. As a columnist in The Edge, you’ve shared messages from the Pleiadians each month. How would you summarize what they have told us in recent months leading up to now? CD: It’s been a very strong message of

change, of impending acceleration of that change, and that we need to move past the third dimensional emotion and start to align more completely beyond the drama, beyond the illusion, to that sacred part of ourselves through our heart space. Part of the message is that the veils have lifted to such a degree that the illusion is not holding us as tightly as it used to. We can now start aligning much more easily not only to the spiritual realms but, most importantly, to that sacred part of ourselves. We’re being asked to bring our humanness along in holding that love and compassion for ourselves as we make our way through this energetic time of transformation. That has been a very strong message, and I feel that is going to continue, but there is a shift coming and they bring that

into their messages. This time on the planet is changing for us. Yes, we’ve lived lifetimes as a human being in this illusion and this separated space, but that phase is coming to an end now and we are beginning to be launched into a new phase on the Earth plane where we will start waking up. We’ve been in this dream and now we wake up and start remembering the fullness of ourselves, our higher selves, our sacred nature, and at this time what we’re being asked to do is just to let go and allow ourselves to be moved by a current into that more awakened state. A common expression from the Pleiadians is to just let go. What does letting go mean from their perspective and why is that important now when change on this planet seems to be escalating? CD: When the Pleiadians speak

of letting go, they transmit a letting go energy through our energetic field. As a human being, we’ve been holding on for lifetimes, really holding on to the illusion strongly, holding on to the shame, the guilt, the sadness, all the things we’ve lived through, all the experiences we have allowed ourselves to create for ourselves in order to learn. We’ve held on to the pieces of us — the anger, the frustration and the pain. The letting go energy is about us being willing to own and accept our experience, our creations, and by letting go we then free ourselves to move almost laterally to a new place in our lives in relationship to our sacred nature and to our humanness. We actually allow ourselves to choose to have different experiences and to liberate ourselves to see past the illusion, past the fear of that fear, which is very strongly embedded in us as a part of the illusion here. We can start accessing a new way of being, a freedom of our spirit, and we can align more to that sacredness. When we hold on to the illusion, we cannot really perceive ourselves within that sacredness. So, the letting go is an energetic process that

moves us in a different flow of reality beyond the illusion and into more of a free-flowing liberation space. In this past month’s column, the Pleiadians issued a dire warning about drama and fear escalating during the next few months. What do they see happening and how do they recommend that we respond? CD: They see a huge upswing in

the drama on the planet and in individual lives. The drama is not a bad thing. It’s just simply getting our attention to that which we need to take care of and notice all that we’re still holding onto within ourselves. It’s just to act as a mirror. The outer drama in the world is going to escalate, and what they’re saying is to come back to your heart and don’t participate in the drama. Witness it, but understand that this illusion on the Earth plane is accelerating because of where we are in our evolution. Those who are living out the drama and the violence still need to live that out for their experience, while others of us have gone past that need — but we’re still witnessing it from a distance. What they’re saying is don’t engage in drama that is not ours. It’s actually happening on another energetic level — within the world, yes, but in a different dimensional setting for those who still need it. If we’re not right in the middle of that drama, then we don’t need it. We need to breathe, come back to our hearts, and connect into more of a stable place within ourselves, not allowing that drama to affect us, and through this process we transcend that drama experience. We can witness it, but we stay in a space within ourself that is connected to a more authentic part of ourselves. That is what the warning is about. There is going to be upheaval, a lot of it, and it’s going to come. We’ve got a lot of violence in the world right now, a lot of upheaval in America with this election coming up, and a lot of unrest will come up from that. It also will come through   see pleiadian on p. 16 November 2016 the edge 15

PLEIDIAN continued from p. 15

natural forces, as a lot of intense storms also will be brewing. There’s a lot for us to get caught up into if we choose, but they are warning us not to get caught up in it. It’s simply a mirror of the times that we don’t necessarily have to respond to and react to from within. This is part of the illusion. It’s not a reality on a certain dimensional level that we are interconnected to through our sacred nature. This is the time for us to just let go, to breathe, to come into our hearts, and know everything is in hand, and not to take everything at face value within the illusion as it plays out, because that will accelerate. Having attended your three-day Pleiadian seminar, I know that there is a lot of interesting inner work that is done during those seminars. Can you explain in a general way what people go through and what they experience when they begin working with the Pleiadian teachings? CD: What I like about the Pleiadians is that

they work and meet each person where they are in their own evolution. Every initiation, every process, is designed for the individual to meet an aspect of where they are within themselves. The actual initiations open up any dense areas in the physical body. They start to break up where the individual is holding on to a physical illness or a particular emotional experience. They always address the human being. That’s what I love about the Pleiadians. It allows people to start understanding their own human process and understand the dynamic that is going on on the planet right now. If someone comes in without having been on a spiritual path for long, he or she still will understand what is happening to them in their human lives, what is happening through the evolution, how their humanness is playing such an important role at this time, and where they are in their lives with their inner feelings. It actually gives them a support system, a base from which they can start to evolve naturally within themselves through the understanding of our humanness, of our imperfection. We always go back to that base, and that base is so important. It’s like an energetic womb where you can begin. Energy is there and it’s always there, and from there we receive the initiations that bring in peace, and a feeling of things leaving the body and then we start to feel peace, hope and understanding, which many people don’t have right now. People feel like they are in turmoil and confusion, but that space of understanding also exists, and the initiations lift 16  www.edgemagazine.net

that density off them so that they start to glimpse something more of themselves. Wherever people are in their evolution, they start to come into that hope and feeling like they are okay, that they’re going to be okay. This seminar is unlike any other we have done. And, it’s fine that somebody has not attended an earlier seminar, because they can just step right in and begin work right where they are, right? CD: Absolutely, and that is the beauty of this

process. Everyone is ready to receive this new blueprint. It’s simple, easy, flowing. Nothing too complicated, and everyone will feel at home being able to come in and just receive this energy. A covenant energy is anchored on the planet at this time, and it carries the new contract for the Earth plane in this second phase of this new dawning era. This covenant energy holds and mirrors the pact that we have made of self-fulfillment for ourselves in this lifetime, and that covenant energy holds the full reflection of our promise within its framework. There is going to be an awakening energy, a remembering and understanding. A lot of very simple revelations will move through individuals during the seminar. It’s a very gentle, but powerful and empowering, process suitable for everybody who comes to this process. Mother Mary and the Christ energy hold a new profile on the Earth plane right now, and they will be there in the seminar in their new profile for this new phase we’re entering into. They will walk among us and be much more available to individuals at this time on the Earth plane. They will be accessible in a very different way to support us in this transition on a very intimate and individual basis. Would you say that the Pleiadian teachings overall help us reconnect to our true selves, to our soul, and help us remember the magnificent beings that we truly are? CD: Yes. The initiations are designed for that.

They are designed to lift the density during the initiation process and bring in waves of energy. It may come in just as a form of peace initially, but as you open to the energy, to the waves of energy, then the revelations come, the understandings come, and this new blueprint is designed really for you to come back and come into a remembering. You’re re-accessing your natural energy, your natural information, your knowledge of yourself, of your sacred self. That is what the blueprint for this time is about. We’re leaving behind the limitations and the illusion of the struggle. We’re moving much more into having a very different experience now on the Earth plane with our sacredness. The new blueprint is

designed to accelerate that remembering, like we are awakening from a dream. That’s its purpose. The initiations will anchor the new blueprint, and the integration of that, with full alignment to that frequency. Then the Pleiadians are opening an energetic timeline for the very first time in any seminar, allowing you to enter the timeline where all experience occurs, because everything exists in one moment. Time is not a reality beyond this illusion. All experiences exist in one time frame. So participants will learn how to move into that timeless space and re-access that which they are ready to receive in the form of tools and understanding. Each individual will unfold into a new state of awareness, bringing back a clarity and knowledge for themselves to utilize now in this life, in this mission. This whole new energy coming to this seminar is right for this time for those who are really accelerated on the path and those who are beginning. There really is not any difference between any of us, because we’re only talking about the difference of one moment in time between remembering. We can’t judge what’s right for each individual, because each person will get what they are ready for within the moments that are presented during that timeline process. What areas of growth are we going to be experiencing in the next few years to come? CD: I think the biggest area of growth is

going back to our galactic heritage. Know that originally none of us are from Earth. We all have natural origins off the planet. We are having human experience, but one thing we’re going to have to come to understand — and I know that’s a lot for some people — is that our heritage is within the galactic origin. We are going to come into alignment with that by remembering our individual origins — and that’s going to be a very important part of our enlightenment process. During the next two years, we’re going to see people absolutely waking up and remembering their origins and reconnecting to their family of origin, and this is going to change our whole view of Earth, that we are separate and alone. It’s going to open up us to our galactic neighbors, to the energies and the life force energies that exist within the universes that we are all a part of — and they all are here, of course, supporting us in this transition for this aspect of our awakening. I think that is going to be a big shift. a Read the complete interview at www. edgemagazine.net. For more information on Christine Day, visit www.christinedayonline.com. Featuring this month: your psychic self

Discovering your light during difficult times by Debra Roinestad I almost couldn’t believe it — it had happened again! The emergency room doctor told me I had a pulmonary embolism and was in extreme danger. This was my second pulmonary embolism; I experienced my first one in 2005. A few weeks before the incident in May 2015, I said goodbye to my friends in Minnesota and hopped into a cramped car filled with luggage, boxes and two adorable but protesting cats. I was moving to Georgia along with my husband who was offered a new job opportunity. We set a goal of driving ten hours a day for three days with minimal breaks. After a long and grueling drive, we arrived safely to our new home. Although I was born with psychic gifts, I did not know I had another difficult journey awaiting me. A few weeks after arriving at my new home, my spirit guide, Esther, told me that I needed to see a doctor very soon. At first, I pushed this thought to the back of my mind, but soon I began to develop chest pain and my breathing was labored. One evening, I sat down on the sofa and suddenly I heard my deceased brother-in-law, John, tell me, “Well, I’ll see ya soon!” Then I heard my deceased

mother-in-law, Doris, gently say, “Go to the hospital now, dear, you’re having another lung clot.” I immediately acted on this advice and a CAT scan confirmed another pulmonary embolism. The doctor was amazed, and yet perplexed, that I knew it was a lung clot. He said I caught the blood clot right in time. I simply smiled and said, “Oh, I just knew.” I thanked my guides for saving my life. Many psychic friends from Minnesota sent long-distance healing and soon I felt better. During the hospital stay I sensed white light and a loving and strong vibration being sent to me. The energy penetrated my chest and radiated throughout my body. The pain I was experiencing diminished without the need of medications. I healed more quickly than the normal recovery time for a lung clot. I want to thank my psychic friends for helping me heal completely. My psychic gifts kept me safe during those dark times, and they are keeping me safe now. a Debra Roinestad is the author of Protected by the Light: A Spiritual Memoir based on a true story of psychic survival. In Loving Memory of a Psychic Mentor

The Journey to Trusting, Believing and Allowing

Spirit Leaves

Moving beyond intuition into psychic ability

by Janet Michele Red Feather I was only 16, yet I was intensely curious about the spiritual realm. A second cousin on my father’s side, Lyn, smiled shyly when I requested a reading. She took my hand with her tender, slim fingers. She had platinum blond hair, freckles and fair skin. She was a kind, pretty and gentle woman. In the course of some family gathering, someone had prompted with great urgency, “Lyn’s giving palm readings in the restroom. Go see her!” So I did. Only later in life would I come to appreciate the contribution of that brief encounter to my psychic development. Cousin Lyn told me things about my future — very specific predictions, one after another. Then she shook her head, stating, “I can’t see anymore. It’s all gone black.” She seemed apprehensive; still, she kept me there a few minutes longer. All the other women had since left the room. Lyn spoke to me like a benevolent grandmother to a neophyte. “I don’t tell this to everyone,” she said, “but I don’t really need the palm to read; I hold the hand to have a connection to the person. I see pictures behind people’s heads. It’s like a movie — like little films going on. It’s a gift from God, do you hear me? I never ever charge for it.” She added to her frank admonitions. “I don’t tell them anything really negative. I see my job not so much to warn people, but to prepare them for what’s to happen — do you know what I mean?” I nodded compliantly. “Just remember: three fingers pointing out, three fingers point back; but the good that you do multiplies and returns to you tenfold.” Lyn was the real deal. She was kind and loving, with abilities that really weren’t in vogue at the time she had done my “reading.” Not everyone is required to offer readings for free: it’s not a rule or law for everyone. That was just for Lyn; it was her particular relationship to the universe. There may have been something karmic that her guides were helping her to fulfill in this way. I don’t judge those who charge — especially those who have dedicated their lives to helping others   see mentor on p. 20

by Allie Maurer Developing your psychic abilities and gifts to become more than intuition means three things: Trusting, Believing and Allowing. It is simple, not easy, but the simplest solutions in life are never easy. This I know well; I have had to surrender to it many times. As a child, I was highly gifted — but being told I had an overactive imagination, or that I was only experiencing coincidences, took its toll. As I matured, I was concerned I may be schizophrenic, because after all, if you hear and see that which others do not, there must be something mentally wrong. However, at the age of 14 my first mentor found me, educated me on my gifts and changed the direction of my life. Before I was 15, she guided me to a coffee shop in Uptown, introduced me to people I had never met, and instructed me to divulge to them whatever came to my mind. I was told to trust — the information, Spirit, and (most difficult) myself. I did, and I was shocked that the information I received was incredibly detailed and accurate for the strangers who sat across from me in that dark room. From those first readings until I was in my early twenties, I stood firm in the Trust of who I was. However, life has a funny way of testing us. Through traumas, tragedies and frightening experiences, the trust faded, my gifts hibernated, and my true self was lost to me. I tried to live a “normal life,” ignoring that which gnawed deeply within my soul. I attempted to rationalize my experiences away as analytically and logically as I could manage, but they weren’t possible to excuse. There was too much evidence that I had skills that were…not “normal.” A series of events in October 2015 became the catalyst to, again, send me on the path of my purpose — to use my gifts to serve others. The work began. I had a new mentor and new resources — YouTube guided meditations and an online course to reawaken my abilities. But it was all superfluous. It was my belief in myself that had been demolished —

and that is what needed to be restored. You start there. If you want to develop your abilities, you first must believe you are capable of doing so. The belief does not come from confirmation and validation you witness through success; success comes through believing. It is having faith in yourself. What you believe becomes your reality and drives your intention. To Trust that the information coming through is not imagination is the next barrier you need to tear down. To become vulnerable is an uncomfortable space you must become familiar with and embrace, because it is the space of sacred possibilities to manifest. I can still feel nerves rise in me when I sit across from a client for the first time. I am subjecting myself to the possibilities of embarrassment and disappointment of that person telling me that my messages don’t resonate with them, that I am wrong. But it hasn’t happened yet. I keep that in mind as I surrender Trust and believe that I am more than capable. Allowing the information, instead of struggling to control it, also is key. I don’t try to understand or censor the messages. I simply allow them to come through, however they desire to appear — through clairaudience, clairvoyance, claircognizance, clairsentience, empathy and mediumship. I know that I am a channel for the information from Spirit; that it is not mine. I am a translator and, at times, an interpreter. So I surrender and allow. Another important thing that should be kept in mind is this: your gifts are unique. The gifts of those I mentor are different than those I possess. Simply because your gifts don’t work like those of other people does not mean you do not possess them. They will work in the way that is right for you. Keep an open mind. Once you have opened your mind, then Trust, Allow and Believe. a Allie Maurer is an International Psychic Medium, Healer and Intuitive Life Coach. with their specially focused awareness. It is partially a function of soul age; still, I sense intuitively that everyone has access to extrasensory awareness. Some of us are simply more assiduous: we are attentive to details. Through time, we are free to either cultivate or neglect our latent abilities. I have learned I am able to detect the presence of negative, disambiguated spirits, as well as some of the more enlightened ones through the sense of smell. The more negative ones have been present in the closets of apartments, in the aisles of thrift stores, and in certain hallways at school. I feel drained in the presence of these spirits. I also have learned to sense the presence of a new Spirit Helper. Psychic Medium Robert Baca affirmed that Wildflower, a Lakota woman, was assigned to help me. I sense her presence by a beautiful floral smell, like a small field of gardenias. Sometimes in the middle of a conversation, a person will remark, “What’s that smell? It smells really pretty,” so I know she lets others feel her presence, too. My encounter with Lyn was almost a half a century ago, yet I remember every prediction she offered, and all of the advice she gave so freely. We barely knew each other; and to this day, I ponder why she offered these disclosures. I find myself wishing she had not made her transition so soon; sadly, she died of cancer at a young age. She was such a person of light. I have so many questions for her. Still, I marvel at and am grateful for our meeting in the way we did. In that brief encounter, I was enhanced psychically and spiritually by her loving example. a Janet Michele Red Feather, J.D., M.A., has taught literature and composition for 18 years at the university, state, tribal and community college levels. Tapping into your Psychic Experiences by Tiffany Johnson I believe it’s best, in my experience, to go with your gut, whether it be choosing a time to leave for a destination, picking a row to park in (I use this one a lot) or when to make that customer service call to get right through to a representative. Doing little things like that builds your personal confidence in “tapping in,” and it shows Spirit you are trusting in its guidance! Once you start building on the small stuff, the bigger stuff comes naturally. You start becoming familiar with the feeling of a psychic or intuitive vibe rather than a personal impulse. Furthermore, I highly recommend taking time to recognize signs — but don’t be lazy and leave it open-ended! Ask for a specific sign (maybe a red balloon, for example) in a specific amount of time (give it at least 24 hours) and be specific about the question! For example: “Spirit, show me a red balloon within 24 hours if I should buy a new Toyota Highlander.” Then watch for the sign! You may see it on a billboard driving down the highway or it may come while you’re flipping through a magazine. Don’t worry that you’ll miss it, because you will! Your guides understand our humanity and will show it to you a few times! I have found especially with noticing signs from Spirit that this work helps people get extremely familiar with their personal spirit guides and opens them up to more clairvoyance, etc. Of course, a tried and tested method to help you is meditation to open up further, as it clears out all the gobbledygook that

Personally, I read everything I could get my hands on to see what helped other people, because maybe there was something I didn’t consider. Now, with the advent of the internet you can find support groups, online classes and an extraordinary amount of free reading material. All this being said, don’t expect this info to be received as it is with your five physical senses! It’s more like recalling a memory, a blip received here and a blip remembered there. Give it time to manifest. Note: the Universe has infinite resources to provide information to you, and it ain’t just working with you, honey child! And don’t go asking the same question over and over to see if you get a different result (one that is more preferable to your “taste”). That’s just a big ol’ slap in the face to the Divine! You’re essentially being a petulant child having a tantrum over not getting your way! Trust in Spirit and build that relationship by honoring what you receive, even if you’d like a different outcome. Delving into Intuition

have time to blink, yet it is larger then we could ever imagine — and if we do not take it in, life will eventually fall apart.

“It’s not whether the outside world has changed in response to your spiritual growth that matters, it’s whether your spiritual growth allows you to respond differently to the circumstances even if they stay the same. That means you have actually grown.” — Bashar

“Between stimulus and response, that is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.” — Viktor Frankl

by Debbie Lynn There is a lot at stake when we turn the corner and delve deeper into our spiritual edge. Sometimes we lose family and friends who don’t understand us. We revel in our solitude and bleed a bit more, but eventually, we awaken the respect for what we have inherently known all along: Things that don’t nurture and support our growth must dissolve, and with that dissolution, a quieter and more thoughtful response to life is immanent. And as this happens, along the way we may take a mental beating from our own head. It is so hard to quiet the discussion that dances in between our ego/mind and insecurity — but the sooner we heed the voices within, the easier it becomes to take the world-gone-mad into our compassion. But why do we distrust our knowing? Why do we push back all the time when good, viable information shines? The conditioning of guilt and shame from a past come and gone has a way of infringing upon our peace, even when the gut truth is telling us, “It’s okay; it is truly okay to know what we know and acknowledge it.” However, when that small voice of insecurity whispers a sweet nothing (and I

a

mean “nothing”) into our ears, it can be hard not to listen. The conversation goes something like this: How can I be right? How can I possibly know what is beyond the surface? I am not a “seer,” a “psychic,” a “knower.” How can I trust myself? It’s good to remind ourselves that the path we are on is a choice, and we made it based on being healthy and in touch with our gut. It is a path that is needed, wanted and decided upon for the sake of our sanity. And more importantly, the shift of our consciousness helps us when things seem a bit too heavy, too laden with too many little messes. When we take a leap into the void, and the warning signs are blaring loud and they linger, it is something we mustn’t ignore. Turning a blind eye is just not an option anymore (which can be far more painful than facing any uncertainties up close and personal.) You see, the truth is so much greater inside of us than out; and it will always protect us. The more honest we are about what is truly felt, the lighter we become as the old paradigm of “what if” fades into the background. The good news is that in all this craziness — all the pain, all the life practice, and people dropping out of sight — we are simply being prepared to understand the minutia of consequences that follow us when we embrace our beautiful goddessgiven intuition. (And this isn’t just for women.) We feel it; we hear it, see it and then (like never before) we can decide how to process it all. But the moment is so tiny we barely

Learning to trust our intuition can be as exciting as it is tumultuous, as sane as it is insane. And as scary as it might seem to really acknowledge all the “stuff” we truly know, honoring the internal gifts and the natural omens is far greater than we think. Going back to our root knowledge with an intelligent reverence just feels right. Trust your gut. I can’t stress enough how beautiful our mind/body and soul is when it is working in harmony with that universal call — but we forget. And when we try to separate the trio and try to go back into the wounds, we can’t get there because once we have gone through a portal, there is no looking back. No matter how hard we try to find that old comfortable place — it’s gone. Never disavow your curiosity, your truth or the light in your core. It is pure and blessed. Live in your edge, and love the challenges of growth and being new. That is what children do (without a second thought) and we might want to take a page from their book. It really works. a Debbie Lynn is an artist, writer and owner on Facebook of 360 degrees of inspiration (full circle) and twisted 360.
