By MAYA M. PADILLO ayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has decided to go on a self-imposed monitored home quarantine and has signed up as a person under monitoring (PUM) under the Davao City Health Office (CHO).

In a statement released by the City Mayor’s Office (CMO) on Thursday,
Mayor Sara said she has not suffered from coronavirus disease (Covid-19)
symptoms of fever and cough, but she chose to undergo self-quarantine to protect others if she may be found to be sick in the next few days. She is now confined in an isolated bedroom at her residence and will continue to work through emails, messaging, and video teleconferencing.
According to the statement, all those who need the attention of the mayor may directly message her through her mobile number. Mayor Sara was in a lunch meeting with Committee on Environment Senator Sherwin Gatchalian in Manila on Wednesday discussing im-
portant matters for Davao City. Gatchalian is himself under a self-quarantine in an announcement made last Wednesday night. One of the mayor's employees was also unwell Wednesday night and is now also listed as a PUM. Based on the guidelines released by the Department of Health (DOH),
