Mayor Sara overwhelmed by huge throng in rallies

avao City mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio thanked supporters during the massive Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) Grand Rally in Tagum City on Monday, April 15.

Speaking before over 65,000 supporters that packed the Davao City Sports and Tourism Complex (DCSTC), the founding chair of HNP thanked the people of Davao del Norte for helping her father President Rodrigo Duterte in his life’s biggest leap of fate in 2016. The presidential daughter asked the support of Davao del Norte to help HNP’s 12 senatorial bets who all vowed to support the president in the remaining three years of his term. She was pertaining to former presidential aide Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, former Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa, presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino, re-electionist Senators Cynthia Villar, Sonny Angara and JV Ejercito, former Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Maguindanao Rep. Dong Mangudadatu, Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano, former broadcast journalist Jiggy Manicad, and Ilocos Norte

Gov. Imee Marcos who she campaigned for. The younger Duterte, who also endorsed her Senatorial candidates earlier in Mati City in Davao Oriental, urged the supporters not only to vote straight for HNP on May 13 but also to contribute something significant for the better of the country. She said everyone can help the current administration by doing simple things such as observing proper waste disposal, cleaning the environment and recycle wastes. “That already are a huge contribution to his administration,” Duterte said. Meantime, political moguls of Davao Region were also in attendance to pledge their support.
