he leaders and supporters of Lumad evacuees housed at the United Church of Christ in the Philippines-Haran (UCCP-Haran) were told to stop abusing the rights of the Indigenous Peoples (IPs).

rang, who is also the chair of the Regional Peace and
Order Council 11 (RPOC 11), has called out the progressive leaders to immediately stop the continuing human rights abuse to the IPs of Davao del Norte. Dayanghirang issued the statement following the attack of alleged paramilitary group Alamara on more than 500 Lumad
evacuees including children and infants housed at UCCP-Haran in Davao City last January 25. Based on the statement of Karapatan, around 50 men including members of paramilitary group Alamara and suspected state agents in plainclothes have torn
down the walls of UCCP-Haran compound. The men also brought wirecutters and surrounded the compound carrying placards with text vilifying UCCP. The statement also stated that police present in the UCCP compound were complicit to the attack refusing to ap-
