The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council
(NDRRMC) issued an advisory on Monday directing its regional ofices to monitor the LPA and undertake precautionary measures in their Area of Responsibility (AOR). The local government of Davao City has already dispatched advisories to communities within river systems, to include Lipagas River, Talomo River, Matina River, Davao River, Bunawan River, and Lasang River to be alert and be prepared for possible evacuations. RELIEF FROM HEAT The low pressure area spotted near Davao City will bring not just scattered rain showers but also relief from the scorching heat over parts of Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said.
