Sara calls out DoF, NEDA for city’s major projects in 3rd SOCA

ayor Sara Duterte called on the Department of Finance (DoF) and the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) to expedite the implementation of pending major projects in her third State of the City Address (SOCA) on Monday, October 14, at the Sangguniang Panlunsod (SP). Mayor Duterte was referring to the Davao-Samal Bridge, High Priority Bus System (HPBS) and Waste-to-energy (WTE) projects. She disclosed that the plans for the bridge that will connect Davao City and the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) are on �inal stages. However, documents of the said project are still pending at NEDA

The project aims to shift from the current public utility jeepney (PUJ) transport system to a high-end bus system. She also called DoF for the approval of the city’s WTE with docu-

In a press conference held after the SOCA, Duterte explained to media that these are the city’s major projects that need the support of the national government. “Meron tayong tatlong malaking projects na kailangan ang tulong ng gobyerno. Yung mga documents are with national agencies. Humihingi tayo ng support sa kanila with these projects.
