omegrown retail giant NCCC Supermarket and Helen’s Farm has partnered with Davao City’s Peace 911 program for the distribution of Barangay Paquibato District’s vegetable harvests.
Farmers under the highly-successful Peace 911 program has been supplying NCCC Supermarket with its vegetable harvests. However, due to logistics problems, the group is unable to supply regularly. More than a year after the city government of Davao City piloted Peace 911 in Paquibato District, the once rebel-infested Paquibato community has since then been declared insurgen-
cy-free by the military. Much of the program's success has been attributed to the framework, principles and mechanisms used to change the behavior of the residents in the community.
