ull security alert status will be implemented by the Task Force Davao (TFD) beginning August 1 as preparations shift to high gear in the upcoming Kadayawan Festival on August 7 to August 17. “This is to secure the safety of all people who will be participating the event”,TFD commander Macairog S. Alberto said during the Hermes Club Insulares Forum at Waterfront Insular Hotel yesyerday. “TFD continues to be on the full alert status kasi maraming activities na nangyayari sa Davao City aside sa upcoming festival,” he said. Alberto said earlier that all 300 personnel of the TFD will be deployed in all public places were activities will be hold
during the almost month-long celebration. He also said that the unmanned aerial vehicles or drones of the task force will be used to monitor different areas in the city especially those that are within the five-kilometer radius. Aside from the existing personnel from TFD, Alberto said that 10th Infantry Division will also augment personnel to secure the city while it is on celebration The commander said they are closely coordinating with the Davao City Police Office to secure the city safe from any terrorist activity that may happen during the festivity.
