Duterte foresees after a list of legislators involved in the pork barrel scam allegedly masterminded by Janet lim-Napoles was revealed on Tuesday by former Senator Panfilo lacson. Duterte told reporters last Wednesday that with the inclusion of several senators and congressmen in the list submitted by Lacson, the controversial list could breed people’s distrust in many leaders of a nation already reeling from power crisis and political bickering. According to Duterte, the “heat” brought about by the publication of the much-anticipated “Napolist” is as scorching as summer. “Init ang panahon sa tanan Pilipino , init,” he said. He said that the case
should be handled carefully because almost majority of the members of the Senate and a large number of members of the House of Representatives and heads of national agencies including those affiliated with President Aquino were dragged into the controversy. “Kung tinuod o dili ang tao pagtan-aw nila sa intstitution sa Congress medyo… its an institution, very important in our governance since it is one of the three branches of the government,” he said.
