wO drug suspects were arrested by joint elements of Task Group Davao Cocaine in two buy-bust operations that netted a total of 779.7 grams of cocaine estimated at P4.678 million last wednesday afternoon in Km. 23, Bunawan, Davao City. The suspects were identified as Guillermo D. Badilla alias Gile, 44, married and a resident of Brgy. San Jose, Peña Plata, Island Garden City of Samal, and Roldan D. Badilla alias Roldan, 28, married and a resident of Km. 25, Bunawan, Davao City. As this developed, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte yesterday revealed that authorities are still on the lookout of more suspects believed to be in hiding and in possession of the illegal drugs. “We are looking at it, pero naa nami natumbok,” Duterte told media at the Mini Forest Covered Court. “Naa nami source pero bungkag ni kay gibahin bahin siguro,” Duterte added. “Sama sa
akng giingon, init na, so wala ta’y mahay diha ha.” The mayor, incensed by the discovery of 64 cocaine bricks in a container yard in Tibungco last month, has laid down a shoot-tokill order to suspects. Some seven cocaine bricks are still unaccounted for as of presstime. Duterte has offered P100,000 to anyone who can give information and recovery of the said cocaine bricks. Based on the PDEA report, the elder Badilla was arrested at 4:30 p.m. after selling 37.2 grams of suspected cocaine to operatives who acted as poseur-buyer.
