fter a snail-pace canvassing stymied several times by technical glitches and a hypertensive head of the canvassing body, Davao City’s three reelectionist members of the House of representatives along with 16 of the 24 council members were formally proclaimed last night. representatives Karlo Nograles (first dist.) Mylene Garcia (second dist.), and Isidro Ungab (third dist.) w e r e
proclaimed by the City Board of Canvassers chair Aimee Ampoloquio but not unchallenged mayoralty and vice mayoralty candidates rodrigo Duterte and son Pulong. the Dutertes were not around last night and Ampoloquio said they did not print the certificate of canvass for the city’s top local positions. Nograles was first to be proclaimed at 8:10 p.m., followed by the first district council winners at 8:16 p.m. with edgar Ibuyan, Leo Avila, Melchor Quit-
ain, Leah Librado, and Nilo Abellera Jr. Not around were Joanne Bonguyan-Quilos, Mabel Acosta, and Bonifacio Militar. Ungab was proclaimed at 8:20 p.m. with third district council winners Karlo Bello, Bernard Al-ag, Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz, rchelle Zozobrado, Joselle Villafuerte, Antoinette Principe and Vic Advincula Jr. Garcia was the lone winner in the second district who was proclaimed at 8:32 p.m.
