T

he election liquor ban which should have begun at 12 midnight last night, five days ahead of Monday’s mid-term elections, was halted last night by the Supreme Court.

• The five-day liquor ban implemented by

the Commission on Elections (Comelec) was stopped by the Supreme Court and reinstated the 2-day ban. • The 12 resorts accredited by the Department of Tourism (DOT) exempted from the liquor ban where only foreign tourists are allowed to drink.
