P5-M BOUNTY RESTORED
Possible hiding place of Baktin already known-Rody By EMILORD P. CASTROMAYOR

AVAO CITY MAYOR Rodrigo R. Duterte has restored the multimillion-peso bounty for the capture “dead or alive” of suspected carnap gang leader Ryan Cain Yap Yu, alias “Baktin”. The bounty is P5 million, P1 million lower than the previous amount of P6 million. Duterte said the reason for the P1 million reduction is that they already know the possible hiding place of Baktin. “Kung naa siya sa custody sa law there is no reason for you to kill a person, but if he is a fugitive or about to be arrest-
ed and resists violently, maybe with firearms, he is in for the kill,” Duterte explained. This came about after Baktin failed to show up for his arraignment last November 7 before Regional Trial Court Branch 16 presiding Judge Emmanuel Carpio. Judge Carpio issued a warrant for the arrest of Baktin after he forfeited his P1.44 million bail bond by jumping bail. Yu is a respondent in eight separate cases of carnapping filed by police officers Filmore Escobal, Carlos Asturias, Joselito
