FTER 34 days in the custody of the New People’s Army, a policeman and a soldier were finally reunited with their families. Police Officer 1 Ruel Pasion of the San Isidro Police Station in Davao del Norte, and Private First Class Jezreel Culango of the 60th Infantry Battalion was released by the NPA in Laak, Compostela Valley at 1:30 p.m. yesterday and later turned over to Davao City Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. Duterte brought Pasion aboard a chopper to

Camp Catitipan in Davao City. Immediately after landing at Catitipan, Pasion was wheeled to a waiting ambulance for routine medical checkup. Pasion and Culango were held captive by the NPA Compostela Valley-North Davao-South Agusan Sub-regional Command last January 17.
