NOThER 4,072 families were added yesterday to the victims of Sunday’s floods, according to data from the Davao City Social Services and Development Office. As of 8 a.m. yesterday a total of 14,352 families had already been documented by CSSDO, showing an increase from the 10,280 families recorded last Monday. Another 7,482 individuals were added to the original report on Monday of 35,136 victims of last weekend’s calamity, bringing the total to 42, 618 persons affected. There were also 33 totally damaged houses and 24 partially damaged houses reported by CSSDO yesterday. The families that were accounted for are in evacuation centers. In Barangay Tigatto, there were 1,598 families who were affected and are staying at the Buhangin Gym, Julliville Gym, DMMA, Uyanguren Gym, Sta. Marina Gym, Lapanday Packing Site and Deca Church. In Waan, 750 families were displaced and are staying at the Waan Elementary School. From Barangay 74-A, Barangay 76-A and Maa, 5,021 displaced families are staying at the SIR Covered Court and Maa Elementary School while 566 families of Barangay 1-A are staying at Brgy 1-A gym and Almendras Gym, whereas 12 families from Barangay 2-A are staying at the Sta. Cruz Chapel whle 2,104 families from Barangay 5-A are housed at the Bankerohan Gym. Meanwhile, 850 families of Barangay 8-A are sheltered at the Brokenshire Gym and 762 families from Barangay 10 are staying at the San Rafael Chapel.
