27 persons were arrested violating the anti-smoking ordinance

HE OBSERVANCE of All Saints Day here yesterday (Thursday) was peaceful, orderly and with no untoward incident happening, except for some violations of the anti-smoking ordinance. The same situation was observed in other cities and provinces in Davao Region. This was the assessment of Davao City Police Office (DCPO) chief Sr. Supt. Ronald dela Rosa who personally made the rounds of big cemeteries here. Dela Rosa said visitors of cemeteries were cooperative, especially in leaving at police assistance centers prohibited items like bladed weapons, cigarettes and playing cards. “So far, so good. Maguindanao massacre suspect nabbed

NE of the suspects involved in the infamous Maguindanao massacre was arrested by authorities at midnight Thursday in Surallah, South Cotabato. Supt. Joel Limson, deputy provincial director for operations of the South Cotabato Provincial Police Office (SCPPO) identified the suspect as Abedin Alamada, alias kumander Bedi, whose last known
