lobe Telecom Inc. has stepped up its drive to repress child pornography by blocking 2,471 sites in 2017 as mandated in the rules and regulations of Republic Act 9775 or the Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009. Under the law, “child pornography” refers
to”any representation, whether visual, audio,
or written combination thereof, by electronic,
mechanical, digital, optical, magnetic or any other means, of child engaged or involved in real or simulated explicit sexual activities”. A statement from the Globe senior vice
president for corporate communications Yolanda Crisanto, said the company would actively look out for illegal sites with vulgar content involving children. It also vows to play an active role in pro-

or posting: SEC revokes Rappler’s certi�icate of incorporation. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has revoked the certi�icate of incorporation of Rappler Inc. and Rappler Holdings Corporation al-
legedly for violating the Constitution and foreign equity restrictions in mass media. In a decision issued on Monday, the SEC cancelled the registration of Rappler, Inc., the mass media entity that “sold control” to foreign-
ers, and Rappler Holdings Corporation being its alter ego, “existing for no other purpose than to effect a deceptive scheme to circumvent the Constitution.” It cited foreign equity restriction in the Constitution,
