GROSS regional development product (GRDP) of 11.5 by 2022. This is the double-digit target of the Regional Development Council (RDC) in Region 11 as the region’s leaders led by Davao del Norte Gov. Anthony “AGR” del Rosario officially launched the Davao Regional Development Plan (DRDP) 2017- 2022 at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City on Friday, July 7. The event slogan, Committing to Sustain Change, “attests to the strong support of the Dabawenyos for President Rodrigo Duterte’s cry to join him in the journey of transformation for a better Philippines.” Over 500 participants from the public and private sectors, local government units, national government agencies, academe, civil society, business sector and media were invited to the event. The RDP Launch was preceded by the conduct of the Philippine Development lan (PDP), 2017- 2022 Regional Roadshow earlier in the day. A PDP motorcade from the iconic People’s Park to the SMX Convention Center carrying the banner “Tara
na! Ambisyon Aksyunan Nato Karon!” was joined by the LGUs, academe and government agencies. As the blueprint for Davao Region’s development under the Duterte Administration, the DRDP anchor’s on the President’s 0+10 Socioeconomic Agenda, the Sustainable Development Goals and works toward realizing AmBisyon Natin 2040, the collective vision of Filipinos over the next 25 years.
