And in celebration of November as ‘Environmental Awareness Month,’ Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte- Carpio will be receiving on November 6, 2017 an award by the non-government organization Clean Air Philippines as the nationwide ‘Clean Air Champion.’ This will be followed by a symbolic ceremony declaring Davao City as Clean Air City. “The air quality of Davao city since 2013 until present is still in good and fair quality index,” said Melvin Dapitanon , Airshed Focal Person of the Department of Natural Resources Ecosystem Based Management during the Kapehan sa Dabaw on Monday. This is based on the result of the data gathered on the six monitoring stations in the Davao City, four of which are manual and two are real time.
