Dream, Believe, Achieve 2nd July 2018 Dear Mums, Dads and carers, FREE TRIP! Year 6 YMCA Activity Day – Monday 9th July 2018 Way back in June 2016, a forlorn group of Year 4 children sat sadly waiting for a coach that would never arrive. It was the Wednesday before the Pilton festival and party-goers were excitedly queuing causing massive traffic jams. The Year 4 pupils were due to go on a trip to the beach but because of the road-based mayhem, the trip never happened. A guilt-ridden Michael Eavis was encouraged by our PTFA to reimburse the school for the cost of the coach. Fast-forward two years and those year 4s are now big, hairy (in some cases!) Year 6s, just on the verge of moving on to secondary schools, but they still haven’t enjoyed their trip! So… funded by the PTFA, we are happy to announce that next Monday (9th July) we are taking them to the YMCA in Bridgwater to enjoy an action-packed day that will include bell-boating, climbing and an underground caving experience. All pupils will need to dress accordingly (Kilve type clothing) and will need to bring a packed lunch and a large bottle of water. Please bear in mind the recent heat and ensure they have suncream and a hat, too. Please complete the reply slip below to give your permission for your child to attend, and return it to school by this Friday (6th July).
