MOMENTUM

As we quickly approach the end of 2024, there are many accomplishments to reflect on from the last quarter alone. I am immensely proud of the Firm’s dedication and perseverance, which are integral to our achievements and have continued to propel us forward every quarter.
Last quarter, we dedicated substantial time to enhancing our team’s capabilities through various training sessions focused on key areas such as skill development, professional growth, and industry knowledge. These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to empowering our employees and fostering continuous internal growth
As we head into the final months of 2024, we will continue to build on this momentum, ensuring that our training and development initiatives remain a central part of our firm’s growth. Our Firm is soon about to hit a huge milestone with our 55th anniversary After 55 years of continuously improving our services, and remaining committed to quality and client success, we can celebrate all our accomplishments with gratitude.
In the months ahead, we’ll continue to drive forward with the same determination that has defined Vasquez for over five decades. I invite you to join us in celebrating this incredible milestone, as we look toward an even brighter future together.
Cheers, Gilbert R Managin
Thank you for your hard work and dedication, you are an inspiration to us all.

From an early age, I was drawn to the dynamic world of martial arts, Taekwondo. My journey began when I accompanied my sibling to training sessions. The moment I stepped onto the mat, I felt an electric thrill course through me, igniting a passion I never knew existed I vividly remember turning to my mother and asking her to enroll me. That spark transformed my life.
Training was exhilarating, and I found immense joy in being referred to as a "super white belt" during training and sparring sessions It was a title that came with a sense of pride; my peers and instructors believed I possessed more skill than a typical novice. This encouragement motivated me to push myself through my limits.
Aftertrainingforayearandahalf,Ifinallytookmyfirstever promotion test to become a yellow belter The preparation was intense and required dedication, but I was determined to rise to the occasion. Alongside my personal growth, I had the privilege of representing my school in various events, including the Southern Tagalog Regional Meet (STACAA), a stepping stone to the prestigious Palarong Pambansa Competing at these events has been both an honor and a source of motivation, which added a new layer of excitement to myTaekwondojourney
While winning medals is often seen as the ultimate goal in sports, I've come to realize that Taekwondo is aboutsomuchmorethanthat.WhenI’monthemat,It teaches me valuable life lessons – about self-control, courtesy, indomitable spirit, perseverance, and integrity. For me, Taekwondo is not just only a martial art, It shaped my character and influenced how I approach challenges in both my personal and professional life. Taekwondo is a journey of selfdiscovery.
It taught me that success is not only defined by the medals you win or how great you are in the dojang (training hall), but also by being the greater version of yourself.

There is one challenge many of us face with technology: how to get the most out of it without letting it overwhelm us. How to keep things simple but powerful.
It’s important to take some time to think about what’s essential to your tech work (and play). What do you really need? What gives you the most benefit for your time? What’s not so essential? What takes up a lot of time without making much of an impact? What gives you the most enjoyment? If you can identify the activities, sites and software that is most essential to you, you can eliminate or at least reduce the non-essential. And from then on, focus almost exclusively on what’s essential. This applies to your work tasks as well – what tasks are extremely essential? Focus on doing those each day.
This is very hard when it comes to tech. We live in a multitasking world. If you are like most people, your browser has a dozen tabs open at once, and you are switching between reading and email and work and texts and social media. But it doesn’t have to be this way. While there’s nothing wrong with having multiple tabs open, or work with multiple devices, it can be very helpful to focus on one task at a time. Have 10 tabs open, but do one tab at a time until you’re done, then close it and move on to the next, and so on If you’re going to text, just focus on the texts If you’re going to email, just focus on your emails. Sure, you can do more than that at once, but it adds to the stress of your day and constantly switching between things decreases your effectiveness. Practice doing one thing at a time and you’ll find your work to be much more peaceful
Even if you do most of your work online, it is extremely useful (and calming) to close your browser and just work offline for a while. This allows you to get much more done, because there’s no temptation to go check something else “just for a second ”
Email is everything to many people. It’s communication, it’s a task list, it’s where you do your work, it’s your organization system. But if you work from your inbox, you are constantly being interrupted by new messages. Get your task list out of your inbox. Do email only at pre-appointed times. Do your work with your email closed.
Same thing applies to instant messaging If you have your messaging program open all the time it encourages people to interrupt you whenever they want, instead of valuing your time. If messaging is important to your work, then schedule meetings, or have certain times of the day when you’re available for instant messaging and tell your colleagues and friends about it. Have it for a limited amount of time and then end it.
Again, email, texting, messaging and other notifications encourage interruptions and multitasking. Instead, turn everything off so that you check your email when you choose, not when others decide to send you something.
For example, check email just twice a day. Write emails of only 5 sentences or less. Only check social media once a day. Only respond to 4 messages on your favorite forum. Or whatever works for you. Limits force you to choose the essential, instead of trying to do everything.
Morning routines can be a great way to start your day effectively, which carries over to the rest of the day The same concepts apply to tech Set up a routine so that you can work through critical tasks one at a time and be sure that everything is finished.
Also consider setting up routines for different days of the week. Check a certain site or inbox once a week, for example, instead of every single day.
Clearing out your inbox is a very calming thing. It also prevents the overwhelming feeling of having hundreds of emails in your inbox – some read and some not.
The need to go through multiple feeds every day can be very stressful and time consuming. Consider reducing the number of feeds, one stage at a time if necessary, until you get down to the essential feeds Then it will take just a few minutes each day to scan through your feeds, pick out the few articles you would like to read, and mark the rest as read. Much simpler.
Many of us are compulsive digital filers, in order to keep things organized. If you have a number of folders and subfolders, you may find yourself spending time each day filing emails and other information. What an effort! Consider reducing the number of folders and/or archiving information instead. With search capability, it takes seconds to find something.
By eliminating your digital distractions and clutter, you can bring calm and focus to your online activities. And who couldn't use a little more of that in his or her life?
