WOW!!!! Its seems like such a short time ago we were celebrating 50 years and now we are celebrating 60 years of the Eden Corn Festival. My how time does fly by.
As of this writing the schedule of events is still being put together and we hope to bring you all the fun and exciting events you have seen in past years.
A couple of events will be enhanced this year. Our Media Personality/ Celebrity Corn Husking Competition will be back! We already have people asking to be part of it as it was very fun to see some of the local weather people, news anchors, reporters, and radio personalities participate. I believe it may become a team sport this year, but more details to follow as we get closer to the Festival. Information will be posted on our Facebook page.

Back by popular demand will be the Eden Corn Festival Cream Ale. Our friends at Hamburg Brewing put this recipe together last year and did very well with it, so please stop by the Legion Beer Tent or Beer Barn and try a delicious brew (Legal drinking age is required).
So, what else? ... We will have the same fun and exciting contests including the BBQ Cook off competition that was started up in 2022. It will be back for the 3rd year and promises to be bigger than last year. Judging will take place right by the spot the food is being cooked, so stop and say “Hi” to all of the fine folks that are putting their best culinary skills to the test. This will take place on Sunday afternoon.
All the other events and competitions that have been held in past years will be back, but please check the schedules as some days and times may have changed

Once again, A special Thank You to all of our sponsors that help us bring you this Festival year after year. Without them we would not be able to do so.
With all that being said the committee would like to make good on our Mission Statement: "To operate an affordable, clean, and family friendly Festival to benefit the businesses and organizations of the Eden community by highlighting one of our major industries."
Thank you, enjoy, and see you at the festival!!!
Sincerely,

Legion meetings were held at various sites over the years until a parcel of land on North Main Street, now known as Legion Drive, the present location of the Post, was obtained. Work on the clubhouse began in 1955. Thousands of hours of donated labor, materials and equipment went into the project under a Building Committee headed by Norman Soule.

As well as the clubhouse and hall (which was added in 1963), the Post complex now consists of a softball field, a basketball court, bar-b-que pit, a large building for outdoor functions, a heated swimming pool for which Legion members donated labor and materials and which was later donated to the Town of Eden who continues to operate it. Various other buildings are located on the property erected by other organizations for use during the Corn Festival and other events. One building has been erected for the use of the Firemen and one for use as a snack bar, locker and equipment building by Little Loop Football. The newest building is a storage facility built by the SAL to house supplies for community events.
The grounds of Newell-Faulkner Post 880 are home to the Eden Corn Festival; The Post, Auxiliary and SAL have established four scholarships for graduating Eden Central Seniors. Each organization grants a $2,000 scholarship to students who will be attending a four-year college and each awards a $1,000 Scholarship to students who will attend two-year schools. Since 1962, over $100,000 has been awarded in scholarships.

2nd ANNUAL ROBIN EVENHOUSE MEMORIAL CORN HOLE COMPETITION
Sunday, August 4th • Registration begins at 12:00pm • Games begin at 1:30pm
Cornhole or Corn Toss is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the corn hole platform until a contestant reaches a score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. If you can aim and toss a corn bag 30 feet, you can master the game of Cornhole. Stop by and give it a try!
