Catalyst Elementary reconceptualizes grade school education into an interactive learning process based in the STEAM subjects. The site is based in Arlington, TX. The building is a mix of traditional forms while integrating organic shapes that mimic the nature of biological cell organelles. Namely, the nucleus is the core of the space that invites students, staff, and visitors to collaborate and celebrate their achievements within art and technology projects.

3D Model Study

The international design competition called for a mobile marine research lab able to transport itself to various areas of study in the ocean. The station must address issues of sustainability, adaptability, and future technology. This architectural concept embodies a dynamic scientific research lab attached to a mechanical drill able to drill into an underwater volcano to harvest thermal energy.
