LOGO ELEMENTS

The EDC logo consists of two elements: the “Sign” and the word mark. These two elements should only be used as a logo unit and must not be altered.

EXCLUSION AREA

The height of the letter “P” (referred to as “a” in the following) in the word mark is used to calculate all logo measurements. The exclusion area measures a distance of “a” in all directions surrounding the logo. Other elements must maintain a minimum distance from the EDC logo.

Main Logo

We utilize this for our brand book guideline:

The primary EDC logo is available in two versions: a positive version and an inverse version. When using the logo, the positive version is always the preferred choice.

MAIN LOGO: POSITIVE VERSION

The positive logo version must be used solely on a white background.

NEGATIVE VERSION

The inverse logo version should be exclusively placed on a deep blue colored background (EDC Deep Blue).

Main Logo Min Size and Special Logo for Small APP

The main EDC logo should be used on all corporate materials. The minimum logo size of the EDC sign with the dark blue navy gradations is 9 mm in height.

SPECIAL LOGO FOR SMALLAPPLICATIONS

The special logo version may be used when the logo height is required to be less than 8 mm. The mark consists of lines of the same size that should be seen separately. The smallest possible height of the EDC sign is 3 mm.

On all corporate materials, it is essential to use the main EDC logo. The minimum permissible logo size, including its tagline, should be 10 mm in height. This rule is uniformly applicable to all of EDC's subbrands as well. Consistency in adhering to this guideline will help maintain a unified brand identity across all materials and subbrands.

Main Logo Specifications

Specific versions of the EDC main logo are defined for different applications.

LOGO ELEMENTS

The positive and negative logo versions must be used for all high quality reproductions.

EXCLUSION AREA

The preferred background color is the white with the corresponding positive logo version. If colors cannot be realized due to technical reasons, the grayscale main logos are to be used instead of the colored main logo.

For various applications, specific versions of the EDC main logo have been defined:

PRINT & MULTIMEDIA:

For all high-quality reproductions, both the negative and positive logo versions are required to be used.

COLOR AND GRAYSCALE:

The preferred background color for the logo is the EDC Deep blue, accompanied by the corresponding negative logo version. However, if technical limitations prevent the use of colors, the grayscale main logos should be utilized in place of the colored main logo. This ensures that the logo maintains its visual integrity and adaptability across different applications.

LOGO Donʼts

The corporate logo should only be used in its defined design and must not be changed in any way. Make sure to always use the templates and downloads provided by EDC.

Do not use another typeface. Do not change the size of the elements. Do not show the logo in different colors.

Do not use any graphic style on the unit. (E.g. Drop Shadow)

Do not shear, skew or rotate the logo. Do not use an outline design.

Do not distort the elements in any way. Do not change the opacity. Do not place the logo on images or illustrations of any kind.

Do not place the logo on a colored background other than dark blue navy.

Do not transpose elements. Do not use frames of any kind.

Do not add anything to the unit.

Colors Hierarchy

The colors for EDC are organized hierarchically as follows:

EDC Deep Blue: This is the primary and main corporate color for the brand. It holds the highest importance in representing the EDC identity.

White: White is to be extensively used as the color for the logo and typography on Blue or Yellow backgrounds. Additionally, it can also serve as a background color when required.

Black: Black should primarily be utilized for typography or in advertising materials related to the 7th series of products. It holds a specific role in these contexts.

Gray or Silver: This color can be used as an additional highlight color, adding subtle accents or emphasis where needed.

Gradations of Yellow, Blue, and Black: These colors are permissible for use in key visuals, as well as in tables and graphics. The gradients of Yellow, Blue, and Black offer flexibility in design while maintaining brand consistency.

SF-PRO Font Family: SF-PRO is the official corporate typeface of EDC to be used specifically for the English version of materials. It should be used for body text, paragraphs, and other general text throughout English content.

B-Yekan Font Family: B-Yekan is designated as the official corporate typeface for the Persian version of materials. It should be used for body text, paragraphs, and other general text in Persian content.

Headlines: Headlines, regardless of the language, should be written in capital letters and in a semi-bold font. This style ensures visual consistency and creates a distinct hierarchy for the headlines.

Bold Type: Bold typeface is reserved for exceptional cases and should be used sparingly, primarily for instances where added emphasis or distinction is required.
