Last month, our organization rescued 12 enslaved families from a brick kiln. During our investigation, our team discovered that many young girls had been sexually assaulted in that particular kiln. Today, we are sharing the story of 15-year-old Rukhsana Bibi, who was sexually assaulted and tortured in the kiln where her family worked.
Rukhsana, a young girl from Punjab, Pakistan, found herself in a horrific situation that no one should ever have to face Her story is a heartbreaking example of the exploitation and abuse that can occur when people are trapped in a cycle of debt and poverty.
AFamilyStrugglingwithDebt:
Rukhsana’s family fell into slavery after her father, Tufail Masih, became ill. They had to take out a loan from the brick kiln where he and Rukhsana’s brother worked. To make matters worse, they had to take out an additional loan of over 400,000 PKR to cover the expenses of Rukhsana’s sister’s wedding.
After her father fell ill, Rukhsana had no choice but to work alongside her brother at the brick kiln to help pay off their debts. However, the kiln manager and owner took advantage of the situation and began harassing and mocking Rukhsana with inappropriate behavior and dirty jokes.
TheHorri cIncident:
One day, when Rukhsana was alone at home cooking, the kiln manager and owner visited her house. They took advantage of her vulnerability and raped and assaulted her When Rukhsana screamed for help, they beat her until she lost consciousness. Upon regaining consciousness, they threatened her, saying that if she told anyone about the incident, they would burn her entire family alive in the brick kiln.
Due to this threat, Rukhsana remained silent about the abuse. The manager and owner continued to visit her and rape her whenever they pleased
Listen to Her Story:
When we found out about Rukhsana, she was in the local hospital due to broken ribs Our team reached out to her as a staff nurse at the hospital and listened to

her story. Later, in the following week, we not only rescued Rukhsana and her family but also 12 other Christian slave families from that brick kiln.
We admitted Rukhsana to the hospital as her two ribs were broken due to torture while she was being raped Now, she has recovered physically, but she needs time to heal from the horrific experience of her life.
We request you to join us in saving persecuted and enslaved Christians, especially young girls like Rukhsana.
