Myths About Armageddon The battle of Armageddon is not what people believe or understand. They have allowed Hollywood to define this battle for them, taking it for absolute truth and fact. The Battle of Armageddon has often been misinterpreted to be a nuclear war between the nations, an alien invasion, or the Apocalypses of the 4 horses, found in Revelations Ch. 6. These ideas and beliefs are far from the truth. â„–2
What Is the Battle of Armageddon What exactly is the Battle of Armageddon? The word ‘Armageddon’ is mentioned in one place in the bible. That is Revelations Ch. 16: 16.... “And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” №3
What Is the Battle of Armageddon
The Battle of Armageddon is the last divisive battle between the forces of good and evil prior to the destruction of this world. But when did the battle between good and evil begin? It began in heaven before we were born. â„–4
Revelations 12: 7-9 “And there was war in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.� №5
Good vs Evil Satan’s purpose was to cause Adam and Eve to sin, to take over the human race and win the war against God. This battle against good and evil has continued throughout the ages. №6
Christ As a Target Satan has tried not only to make man sin but Christ when he came to this earth in the flesh. But our Savior indeed overcame the devil. For Jesus sinned not and when crucified, he won a victory for his children, giving us the tools to win eternal life and return home to him. â„–7
Satan Is a Dragon Satan is liken unto a forceful dragon who persecutes the children of God. And not only the saints, but he has caused sickness, death, misery, pain, imprisonment and suffering of ALL people. He has changed their nature and caused destruction in every nation, kindred and tongue. From the beginning of time, he has killed the innocent without mercy, whether man, woman or child. â„–8
Predator vs Prey Satan is deemed a predator and we are the prey. We ALONE, as flesh and blood, are rendered powerless against the great forces of darkness.

Ephesians 6: 12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Tools to Fight Back However, with God and his holy word, we are empowered to fight against Satan. Like, Christ, we too can overcome? How so you ask?

Ephesians 6: 13-18 “ Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” № 12
We Must Obey In order to survive and win the battle against Satan, we must obey the 10 commandments of God, striving daily. If not, we will fall victim to the forces of darkness, ultimately leading us to eternal death. â„– 13
Time Limit We gain comfort in knowing that life in this world and all the suffering it brings will not continue forever. Satan also knows that there is a time limit to his power and the influence he has on God’s children as well as this entire world. № 14
Revelations 12: 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

The Battle of Armageddon What makes the Battle of Armageddon, the last battle against good and evil, so unusual? This battle will occur after the first resurrection of the saints. At this time, all of God’s children will be gather together, from Adam to the last saint on earth. № 16
The Battle of Armageddon This will be the first time that they will battle against evil together and Christ himself will be their captain and king. He will command the army of saints against the devil, his angels and all the wicked left on the earth. Christ and his people will destroy with great vengeance the wicked. Satan will be arrested and bounded by the angel to be cast into bottomless pit. And there he will stay for 1000 years.,(Revelations 19: 11-21 & Revelations 20: 1-3) â„– 17
1000 Years of Peace After the Battle of Armageddon is complete with Satan and his wicked angels in the pit, the children of God as well as this earth will finally be free of the wicked. There will be 1000 years of peace and rest before the earth is totally destroyed.
