A Lesson By:

JESUS OUR HEALER

Did You Know

Jesus is a mighty and powerful God.
God the Father created Him.

He lives in Heaven.

Did You Know

There is nothing that Jesus can’t do. There is nothing too hard or impossible for him.
Remember, Jesus is God.

Did You Know

Jesus is a Healer. What does it mean to heal?

To make healthy or well again.

Did You Know

When Jesus was on this earth he healed so many people that were sick.
These people did not just have colds like you or me.

Many had something seriously wrong with their minds and or bodies.

People with Disabilities

Some people cannot hear (hearing impaired) or see (blind).

Some people cannot walk or use their arms correctly (lame).

Some people cannot talk or use their brains correctly. These are people with disabilities.

Jesus Is Merciful

Jesus is a merciful God. He showed love and kindness to many people with disabilities by healing them on this earth.
This makes Jesus powerful. We don’t have the ability to heal someone disabled.

We Must Show Mercy

We too must show mercy, love and kindness to all people, including people with disabilities.
This is the right thing to do and makes us like Jesus.

Matthew 12: 10-13

There was a man who’s hand was withered.
It was the Sabbath day and Jesus told the man to stretch his hand out and his hand was healed and good as new!

John 9: 1

There was a man that was born blind, meaning he could not see.

Jesus spat on the ground and made clay with his spit and dirt.

He rubbed the clay on the man’s eyes. He told the man to wash his eyes in a Pool called Siloam

The man was then able to see.

Luke 12: 17-19

There were 10 men with leprosy

Leprosy is a terrible disease that can cause sores all over the body and even cause you to lose your fingers or toes.

Leprosy was a very common disease in Jesus’ day

People who had this disease were thought to be dirty and unclean. They were required to stay away from other people because of the fear that they might infect them with their disease.

Luke 12: 17-19

When the 10 lepers saw Jesus they asked him to show them mercy.

Christ told them to show themselves to the priest.

As they headed to the priest their skin was healed.

Out of the 10 men, only 1 man came back to Jesus to thank and praise him. Because the man had faith and believed he was made well and healthy.

Did You Know

Everyone needs to be healed by Jesus, whether they have a disability or not.
All of us have done bad things or disobey God.

To disobey God is to sin.

Did You Know

When we sin, it is like being sick.

What happens when you are sick?

Your mommy or daddy gives you medicine so that you feel better.

The medicine will help you heal and become well again.

Did You Know

Jesus is our Father in heaven.

The medicine Jesus gives us is the word of God and it is what heals us. How so?

The word of God is the Bible that teaches us the law and everything we need to know to be good and obedient.

When we are good and obedient we don’t sin. This makes us healthy and well to God
