IT’S ALL JESUS!ABOUT

As we get ready for Passover, it’s important to talk about Jesus.

You have learned that Jesus is God. You learned that he is one of our Fathers in Heaven.

You

also

learned that he created this heaven, earth and all living creatures. And lastly, we talked about Christ being compared to the word of God, which is the Bible.

Did you know that Christ came down to this earth to save us from our sins? How did he do this? Let’s start at the beginning.

Christ was made tiny as a seed and was placed inside Mary’s belly by the Holy Spirit. He grew in Mary’s belly just like you grew in your mommy’s belly.

When Jesus was born, he was born in a city called Bethlehem. He was a baby like you once were. They wrapped him in blankets and placed him in what was called a manger.

Christ grew as a human being like you and me on this earth.

He felt what we felt like

sadness, anger and happiness.

Satan tried to get him to disobey the laws as he does with us. However, no matter what, he always obeyed God.

Even at a young age of 12 Christ was excited about teaching the word of God and had great understanding of the truth.

When Christ turn 30 years old he began to do many wonderful works on this earth to help and save his people.

He taught people to obey God, he fed people that were hungry, he healed people that were sick. He showed them that if they were good and obedient to God that they would be saved. He said that he would return one day to earth and would save all of his righteous children. He taught us to love God and to love each other.

During Passover, Jesus is represented by a lamb. A lamb that is pure white without any marks on it.

That means Christ has no sin in him. Lambs are also meek and gentle animals. Christ was very meek and gentle as well.

Lambs are animals of prey. This means they are killed by other larger animals that are known as predators.

Christ was like prey and killed by wicked men that were leaders. These wicked men were like predators.

Jesus died for our sins. He was nailed upon a cross. He was on the cross for 6 whole hours and then died. They pierced his side and blood and water fell to the ground.

Jesus was buried in the ground and stayed there for 3 days and 3 nights. He then rose from the grave.

We live because of what Jesus did for us. And because of Christ we can learn about the Bible, learn how to obey and to be perfect just like our Father in heaven. We can be saved and live forever! This is why we celebrate Passover!
