SENIOR YEARS PASTORAL CARE FRAMEWORK
At Endeavour College we believe that God has a plan for each one of us and our aim is to support all students to reach their potential.
Everything we do and how we do it at Endeavour College is a natural extension of our Mission – a Christian environment for each student and staff member to develop their God-given gifts and abilities for LIFE and community.
As a Lutheran school, we integrate our faith in Jesus and His love and grace into all aspects of learning and life at the College. Respecting gifts and differences and valuing each individual is central to our purpose.
At Endeavour we seek to be an inclusive community that offers care and support to all. Students are known, nurtured, and encouraged.
During the Senior Years journey, there is a strong partnership designed to guide our Year 10, 11 and 12 students through opportunities, choices and experiences that will engage and develop them as unique individuals, support their future aspirations, passions and pathways, and equip them to be active contributors to society.
Our aim is to develop competent, self-motivated, dedicated, confident and adaptable young people who exude integrity and are tenacious. Endeavour College senior years students are generous and caring, value relationships, strive for their dreams and goals and achieve their best.
Our Senior Years Pastoral Framework, the VIEW, achieves these objectives through developmentally appropriate year level experiences, opportunities, activities and events guided by the Senior Years Team (Director of Senior Years, Year Level Leaders, Counselling, Ministry and Adaptive Education staff, and the Pathways and Careers Coordinator) and supported by the Senior Years Care Group teachers.
SENIOR YEARS PASTORAL FRAMEWORK

Relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and we dedicate time for building these connections between students and teachers, and each other. Care Group is a vital part of our pastoral program and an important time for student personal, and collective development.
During Care Group, relationships and student development are enriched and extended through daily interactions, activities, events, and our pastoral program, the VIEW (Vision for Learners, Inclusion, Endeavour Way, Wellbeing).
Care Group is a safe, caring, respectful and inclusive environment. High behavioural expectations explicitly linked to high support and encouragement allows students to flourish and thrive emotionally, socially, physically, spiritually and therefore academically.
Senior Years students are Choice Makers, Connection Builders, and Change Creators in our Christian community, who share Love unconditionally, face challenges with Courage, model Forgiveness to self and others, and embrace Hope with their unique VIEW to the future.

A well-developed emotional and intellectual flexibility allows students to meet challenges with grit. By working with others, students broaden their perspectives and solve complex problems. An empathetic understanding of the world beyond the immediate, builds a capacity within students to be change makers.
Senior students at Endeavour have the hearts and minds to self-direct their future, work with others, and become influencers in their communities.

E N D E A V O U R W A Y
At Endeavour College, senior students engage with the development of a community culture where relationships are valued and members feel connected, safe and respected. We believe this approach fosters an optimal learning environment to fulfil students’ God-given abilities for LIFE and community.
The Restorative Practices approach emphasises working with Senior Years students to educate them to address behaviour and value relationships. It calls students to make a personal transformation from a focus on the self towards a focus on others and the common good, and as such it reflects the model of Christ in terms of dealing with others.
